Check this out!!! (ECS control module)

I'd put the $ in sways over the mando. Sways transformed the car. Mando makes things a little different but not life changing. But Since the sways already tightened things up i prob see much less difference than mando on a stock car.
If someone did mando then sways maybe they would say the opposite.

I had the sways first and then the mando as well. I would agree, relatively speaking. I do notice the mando making a difference when I drive the same road to work everyday. It has about 4-5 dips that I slow down for, but do not crawl through and there is much less bounce with the mando. So from that perspective it did help. As far as spirited driving, corning and such, I'm not sure I notice a major difference. My main point in getting it was for the dips and road imperfections, which it did help with. And I agree, I'd imagine if someone had this first and then the sways they'd notice a major difference. Either way, in my opinion... sways and this work well for me.

I guess we will see more reviews and get a better idea about how much the effect is soon.

I have one, and will be installing it as soon as work gives me back my life :-) That, or I just decide to take the 15 minutes and do it - just got my add-a-circuit mini2 in yesterday. Install looks REALLY simple. Like the idea of attaching it to the inside of the bottom steering wheel trim..

No other suspension mods yet - but am planning on sways + springs when I get more time.

What are your settings?

For the sways... soft. For the mando... sport.

I'm watching to see what others are doing as I haven't had the time to test different options on the mando. I'm going to use @Waynerm002 settings tonight on the ride home to see how it feels. Though I have a RWD, so I'm not sure. BUT, it's a start to getting it dialed in.

Looking forward to your review!

I really interested to hear opinions about whether this is a minor or more noticeable upgrade.

I'll answer it this way; it can be minor or major, because you get to make the changes. If you stick with the predetermined settings, Comfort and Sport, you will find that both make the car more settled and improves the ride and handling. If you are feeling adventurous, then jump over to the Custom settings, of which there are 4, and adjust to your heart's content. In the Custom area you have a choice of Basic or Advanced. Basic lets you choose to modify the Ride settings, front and rear, independently of the Handling settings, by use of simple sliders from soft to hard (0-100%).

Consider yourself a seasoned track tuner and want more adjustments? Pop on over into the Advanced section where you can also adjust the settings for different speeds!

This thing is not just an add on which only give you a simple adjustment of Comfort and Sport, it goes way beyond that and give you access to the full range of the shocks. I'll say this, I set it at 70% in the Basic section and it was a harsh ride. I can't see anyone using 100% setting on the streets for too long, that would be too much stress on the body and the car would also suffer. In my mind, this is a major upgrade! Your tuning options are wide open with this.

I changed the names of 3 of the Custom modes, Touring, Spt Tour and Fav1 are my settings. Fave one is the one I shared and I will be fine tuning the others and sharing them soon.

The Wayne tune felt good on the way to work. Seems a little stiffer than mando sport.
I have awd, sways soft, stock sport mode.

I just used Wayne's on the way into work this morning and it felt bumpier then the mando sport mode. I have a RWD, Eibach sways, sport mode on the dial and Mando (Wayne's settings).

That’s the thing I’ve found with Mando “Custom Mode” on my GT2 RWD, it is hard to get a ride that
hits all four marks:
Smooth
Stable
Controlled
Sporty

It’s pretty easy to get a smooth setting.
You can easily find a sporty setting.
But the body control and stability (vertical not, longitudinal) are tough to dial in.

I’ve got to put more time into it though...

I don't really mind if I can't hit all 4 at once. 2/4 will be good, and 3/4 will be great. Switching between them as needed would be all I'm really after. For example - for road trip with family, smooth / stable. For fund riving, sporty / controlled.. Or whatever.

I agree.
However, the trait I value most is also the one hardest to tune in...

I want to completely remove the bounce that the Stinger has.
The Stinger does well enough everywhere else, even in stock form.
The Mando does reduce the bounce, but not nearly enough.

That excessive suspension travel is what is causing the Skitter/Skip that lots of owners report.

Even with the Mando, lesser cars like the Optima have a more well balanced, flat, and solid ride.
If the Stinger makes it to a Generation 2, I’d be grateful if they payed closer attention to ride quality.

It sounds like the stock setup has some kind of mis-match between the spring and the strut that can't totally be removed through adjustment of compression and rebound damping. Or maybe something the software is doing when it sense you are going over bumpy roads, that is if it is adaptive and adjusting constantly.

I didn't understand what you were talking about the vertical motions until I read this post and payed close attention to mine on the way to work. half my trip is down a road that is bumpy, it is not bad, I would say it is fair. The ride is fairly smooth but I feel the wheels having a bunch of motion, bouncing around a lot.

Is that why people who do downsprings see improvements in ride quality?

Somewhere long ago I read a post by SteveO, I believe on another forum, that explained our suspension n detail. He was saying that our electronic shocks can only adjust the dampening, not the rebound. Perhaps I read or remember it wrong. But does the suspension tuner prove this statement (or my memory) wrong?

Yes, Something about the valving in the shock. That is wasn't like a more expensive magnetic ride control like in the Camaro ZL1 for example.

I heard from the mando devs that their system was superior to MRC.

Today, after a lot of thinking I finally swapped my KW coilovers for stock suspension with mando ECS10 and Eibach stabilizer.
I must say that was first hugely dissappointed compared to the ride quality and feeling of stability of the KWs. All app settings were much inferior to the coilovers.
But then after trying some settings shared on this forum and doing a bit of testing myself I think I start to like this even more than the coilovers.
On flat pavement like a highway, with the Mando module, we may be able to mimic the coilovers but I don't think it will never be as good (at least compared to good coilovers). However, where the electronic suspension shines is the possibility to have a comfortable ride at low speeds and firm at high speed. (I had to slow down a lot on bumps, or uneven pavement with the coilovers)
Verdict: I like it. :)
