@SSR Performance, I just want to say SSR Performance reach out to me to get more details on my issue, my issue might be an isolated issue. There customer service is amazing, i got to admit i cant mention one company out of the top of my head that seen my complaint on a forum and reached out directly to me. I want to thank them because they go above and beyond on their products and most importantly they threat their customers with respect and dignity. There other companies that i dealt with that are vendors here like i wont mention and there customer service is shit to say the least. But 2 companies that provide excellent customer service is SSR of course and Burger motorsports (JB4) there active and support their clients at a 100%. Again SSR thank you, I am impressed by your service.....

Got these suckers installed yesterday.

Honestly, if you don't have access to a lift, pay someone to install these.

I did it with jack stands and a creeper and it was a cramped, painful, and terrifying 2 hour experience.

Fitment seems good. Are the flanges supposed to line up perfectly? I couldn't get them completely flush but they seemed good center on center.

They're also definitely louder, but so far not in a way that I do not appreciate. Just like the intakes system I have, they're quiet when cruising but you can tell when you open the car up.

The flanges didnt line up perfect with mine either..... i was a bit concerned but so far seems like no leaks ...only time will tell.

So quick update. There's definitely a more noise around 2200 rpm but nothing obnoxious. If you're in sport mode the car won't use 8th gear (unless cruise control is on, which I discovered yesterday). So sport mode + cruise control leaves you slightly under 2200 rpm at around 70-75 mph which is perfect. It's safer and more economical using cruise control anyway so it's just more incentive to use it on the highway as much as possible.

I've tried launch control twice and it might be useless to me now. The back tires break free just as the car wants to shift, so the ECU pulls power until the RPMs drop enough. I'll have to try an auto-hold launch. But I'm happy with everything so far.

Sport mode and cruise control at 70mph? That seems pointless.

Thanks for the additional updates.

I have my custom mode set up like sport except comfort suspension and steering. It's the same deal with 8th gear not being used unless you have cruise control on.

I have it in sport/custom basically all the time.

Yep, For me sport mode does not go past 7th.
If I want 8th I press the little + paddle on the right side of the steering wheel.

Never knew about sport mode & cruse allowing 8th...

Not pointless at all. If you need to drop it out of cruise control to pass you have all the power immediately without having to change drive modes.

So I'm having a weird issue.

Ever since I put these on, the first left turn I make in the car makes a pretty awful grinding noise. After that, nothing. This happened the first time I drove it after putting them on, but it went away for a few days.

I don't know if it's due to expansion/contraction as the metal heats up, as it only happens once. I'm also not sure if the grinding is metal settling into place or a tiny, temporary exhaust leak. It almost sounds like the ABS is kicking on.

I'm going to have to remount these, which I'm not particularly excited about. I'm optimistic it was a bad installation on my part rather than an inherently bad fit or an out of spec part.

I'll provide an update when I find the time to do this, which probably won't be until next week.

Grinding while turning? Sounds strange for adding DPs. Following and hope you find the problem.

Yeah you would have had to installed something seriously incorrectly for this to be related to a DP.

I can't see the pipes causing this either. How did you suspend the car when you did your install? Did you have a jack stand or blocks near the control arms or front suspension components?

Maybe coming from your LSD if yours has one.

It didn't happen this morning - I let the car warm up a bit first and disabled ECS + Stability control. I'm going to do the same minus letting the car warm up. The left turn leaving work is where it's happened the most. I need to eliminate some variables.

I had the spare tire scissor jack, a jack stand, and a hydraulic jack. I used the scissor jack on the front passenger side (on the indicated lift point - it's basically impossible to put it anywhere else) and engaged the scissor jack half way up. Then I alternated raising the drivers side with the hydraulic jack (slightly offset from the lift point but still on the weld), and the scissor jack on the passenger side. Once the scissor jack was fully extended I put the jack stand on the lift slot and moved the hydraulic jack to the other side to back up the scissor jack.

The intent was to minimize the body twist jacking it up. I'll see if I can record the noise if it happens again later. It's short, maybe 1 second.

None of that would have cause any issues then.

When you left turn from work, is it at an incline/downhill that would cause the chassis to twist slightly?

I just finished installing mine and there isn't a lot of clearance between the passenger side pipe and the OE black mounting bracket. You may want to check yours as perhaps it's lightly touching the pipe when the chassis twists?
