To the people with open cases at the dealer, are they offering the Euro-spec brake pads as an option during the rotor replacement? I'll go out on a limb and say many dealerships may not be aware that there are 2 pad choices available.
I'd compare 3900 lbs and 167 with 400 bhp and 5800 lbs any day......slotted rotors and ceramic brakes are no joke .....and thats what I used. Zero brake dust and great stopping power from a truck with 80,000 miles on the master cylinder....but I get the point ya get what ya pay for in every instance.I generally don't have a problem buying from Chinese manufacturers but I'm drawing the line at trusting them with parts made to stop a 167mph 3900lb hunk of metal and gasoline.
I just wish there were other options out there other than those goofy looking two piece rotors from WP or whatever the company is.
Steering wheel is wobbling while brakingassuming its the rotors... Did anyone try calling the Kia Hotline? Dont we have a premium number to call as well for issues?
That's who is helping me. But you need to take it in first so they can document what's wrong.
If you're within your 12 month 12k mile warranty you shouldn't need to call them.
The Stinger manual actually warns that noisy "high performance brakes" are normal and do not indicate that the brakes are not working properly.downside is they squealed when slowing down right before coming to a stop under normal driving because they needed a higher operating temperature.
