• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

HELPPPPP!!!

Hi all, anyone here in AUSTRALIA (NSW) who could assist me in getting the right REGO PLate (PERSONALISED PLATES).

Ordered a Stinger GT with DEEP CHROMA BLUE, but the colours seem to vary and unable to see if I can get a matching rego plate.
See the chosen ones in colour (Not my rego, lol)!

Would love to hear your opinion or suggestions.
Deep purple with white lettering all the way!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
How much are custom rego plates in NSW? In tassie they $1195. Looking at getting STINGR blue plate with white letters

I don't think this article has been posted yet, and I'm not knowledgeable about the journalistic quality of this publication, but they seem to think the Australian pricing for Stinger is an "unprecedented value equation."

(I've tried to follow this thread, but the buying process down under seems different than in the US, so "driveaway" price factors aren't clear to me.)

Hi Ralzod, yes here in Oz we have the advertised price but this doesn't resemble what we call the "Drive away" price . which added to the advertised price is such things as.
1. Vehicle registration.
2. Government Stamp duty (tax)
3.Dealer delivery charge
4. G.S.T. (Goods and services tax = 10%.
I may have forgotten something else? But as you can see this can and in my case add $7,000 to $8,000 to the price of the car.

I understand the lowest trim base model has different headlights than the rest, although I've only ever seen one video of them. Do you happen to know what exterior features are different between the trims aside from that? Are the taillights any different? Are the front brake vents only chrome on the upper trims or all of them?

This photo recently posted from NSW of the two production cars to be used for the upcoming Australian media launch for the first time shows the base model headlight design compared to the LED headlights on the adjacent GT. I don't believe these base spec headlights are used in overseas markets or at least not yet as I have never seen them before this car arrived in Australia. So from this can we also conclude that the colour instrument cluster already evident on all Korean version cars currently is the 7" colour screen to be used in our local GT spec only and we are yet to see the base spec 3.5 inch mono screen ?

This is a good quality close up walk through video of the car showing the under boot storage so unsure if Oz models will have spare tyre/space saver?:

Hi.
The red one have the basic headlights - in Germany used in the GT-Line trim (LED is optional in Upgrade package or OEM in the real GT).
I dont know whether Halogen or Xenon.
Will be the same all over the world...

Hi Richard,

I'm in Perth, what about your self?

You may have already seen some or all of these videos (links below) that highlight our chosen colours . The chroma blue is almost purple under bright light which I'm unsure about how that will contrast the red leather but wont pass judgement on until seeing it in the flesh:

I've always been a fan of the red Mercedes AMG interior with aviation style air vents hence why I was immediately drawn to the Stinger

And the Maserati Gran Turismo has also had obvious inspiration on Kia

Most informative, great photos - cheers.

Did anyone on the Stinger mailing list with Kia Australia receive Newsletter 5 yesterday on email?

Can you please share here if possible as the email I received had no attachment or hyperlink to the newsletter.

Official pricing and specs just released in NZ https://www.kia.co.nz/vehicles/stinger/range-and-specifications

Only a few of the pre ordered vehicles available in October. Then nothing till
January. Price $5k better than expected. Even the dealers were surprised.

TyTimp pointed out in another thread that Canadian pre-order pricing was reduced by $2k. Maybe there's a broader price adjustment going on based on current demand? This is a positive development, if true.

Positive for us, not very good for Kia or the future of the Stinger I'm afraid.
