From what I read about this (I think somewhere in this thread) Kia didn't originally have that disclaimer on the website or brochure.

Drive you Stinger over 120 in Oklahoma and if caught I guarantee you will be sent prison for at least one year. Reckless driving is not liked in Okla.
I realize some of you did not buy the car to go fast. For yall, a VW bug would have been just as good of a option. For those of us that bought the car to go fast, ( like kia said it was capable of going) leave us alone. I have driven my car over 130 in Oklahoma on the turn piles, and not been alone, oklahomians have been there beside me at times doing the same. Enjoying what we like to do, if driving your car 55mph makes you happy do it, but if you run a red light, you'll get a ticket too. Dont be the guy that sets back saying I do a bad, wreckless thing, while smoking your cigerret, drinking your beer, messing around on your wife, smoking crack or dope, or what ever you do. All these things have consequences too. I bought a fast car to go fast, that is what fast cars do well!!!
I am the person who pointed out that the build your KIA was changed in Feb. Of this year! Well after I bought my car!Kia didn't originally have that disclaimer on the website or brochure.
I have just talked to the CEO of Peak Kia, had a hour and a half long conversation. MICHAEL (CEO) was most helpful and thinks we can resolve this issue of the tires, wheels and speed governor. He renewed my faith in Peak Kia, and it would be my intentions to continue, what I hope to be a long relationship in car buying.
Another dumb thread, full of whining and complaining.

so please refrain from the negative comments to thoughts of you that don't care about being totally ripped off.
Yea that's what I said. We're saying the same thing, why the "x" on my post lol.
Happens to the best of us.Must have hit the "x" by mistake-
Correct they did not originally it was introduced in Q1 when most of us got our back in 17 there was nothing posted and the dealers were not aware eitherFrom what I read about this (I think somewhere in this thread) Kia didn't originally have that disclaimer on the website or brochure.

I agree with English! Would be nice to get somewhere! However, I am a guarded pessimists until at least one person gets satisfaction. I have been off line for awhile looks like the post is alive and well. Sadly looks like we have a few more realizing the fast one that was pulled. It is also annoying to see thoes of us who CARE still have a following of naysayers, police, PSA personnel, and granny driving special people. (Bless your heart) Never mind that it can and will most likely hit the one's affected in the pocketbooks when we go to resell. Also, forget the fact this was false advertising and sets a precedence for manufacturers to continue such practices.yes please keep us posted
Yes, because top speed is the only advantage a Stinger has over a Beetle. Hahaha. For yall, a VW bug would have been just as good of a option.
When I'm successful I will be certain to blaze a path for others to follow, and post the how to's, of setting your STINGER FREE!!!!yes please keep us posted maybe we can repeat your success
That's funny, but sadly true, I might would have bought a beetle if they said it would go 167 mph..... MAYBEYes, because top speed is the only advantage a Stinger has over a Beetle. Hahaha.
