Has anyone posted a video on how to change the T handle to the N-line shifter? I just received my N-line shifter today & copied all your comments related to this but still a little confused. Or can anyone provide step-by-step instructions on how to replace the shifter.

this is that I purchased:
Shift knob: 46720G350RMW
Shift boot: 84632G3130RMW

thanks for your help!

I'd be very interested in a video too, I'm about to pull the trigger on the N-line shifter as well.

This pretty much applies. Used photos from this post to make it.

1. Shift the gear to "N".
2. Remove the boot from the console upper cover by pulling upward along the inner edge. You can use plastic pry tools to help get it loose. I used my fingers I think on the leather side to pull up the frame.
3. Remove the knob by pulling the direction of arrow after

4) After that, it's about getting the clip off of the old knob that holds the boot to the knob and transferring the new knob's clip over to the original boot. You may need to use a little glue and or clip the boot to get it to fit properly.

5) Once the new clip is in place, snap the new knob to the original boot.

6) Take the boot and new knob and press it down the shifter shaft until it clicks. Test functionality.
7) Resnap back in the boot into the console upper cover.
8) Done.

Are there any alcantara knobs that would work?
I think most Hyundai/Kia shift knobs that aren't for the Drive By Wire should work. I don't know of any off-hand that are alcantara though. You may want to get an upholstery shop do it custom on whatever knob you go with.

WOnder about the Kona Ironman knob

Here is another option for a shift knob from a Veloster N / I30 N DCT. Part number 22798-2G000.

Knob should fit since it looks nearly identical to the I30 N Line knob except for the colors.

So I just got a T&P shifter do I need to buy the shifter boot to get that collar everyone is using to make it fit? I was told it was a simple install, but it seems like the latter

No need If stock collar fit T&P shifter or easy to modify. Otherwise, it is better to buy it for best fit.

Yes. You will need to get the shift boot that was found earlier in this thread. If you try to modify the stock collar, in my opinion, it looks funky as the sizes are not the same and the shift boot will not flow into the new shifter as well. As an FYI, I called around and no Hyundai parts locations in MD, not sure of your location, had the shift boot in stock or could say when it was due back in stock in the U.S. I ordered from Ebay last month. Good ole USPS shipped it out of the NY hub 3 weeks ago but I'm still waiting. Other than that, the T&P shifter is really nice.

I think it’s as easy as purchasing the part from Ebay. Then switching the collar out from the new shift boot to the stock Kia boot. Some have suggested using a hot glue gun to adhere the new collar but others have said it is not needed once you seat the new knob. I guess whenever USPS gets the Hyundai part to me, I’ll find out and let you know. I was hoping it would be here by Xmas. Now shooting for Xmas 2021.

whet part of MD? I’m in Carroll C.

I'm near baltimore but wouldn't mind driving to you. Guess I will have to order the boot then... What a shame after they said it's an easy 30 second swap -_-....

I had the same feeling. It is a 30 minute or less swap but I wish they would have stated that the other collar would be needed instead of "minor adjustments needed".
