Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

I hit this using my race chip. 1st gear power cuts for a second then comes back. I believe this is hitting torque limits and cutting power. Switched to ECU tune and faster launches and no more problems.
I manually shift to get around this issue or you can just set up the boost by gear also which will help

Damn theres gota be a faq or how to on using this chip. Dont get me wrong I love the way it makes the car feel but I'm completely in the dark when it comes to using it full potential.

I didnt know you can set boost by gear. What does it do by doing so?
 
I'll be installing this weekend and have a question.

I plan on running Map 1for a week or so until my new plugs come in. Will the OE plugs work or should I just wait until I get the new plugs?

The oems are fine but they need to be regapped to 24-26.
As for boost by gear I dont know what effect it has, as I havent done it but Terry said boost should be 2 in 1st and 0 in 2nd and 3rd. You can find this a few pages back.
 
Did a few wot map 3 30% e85 pulls one in auto/sport and one manually/sport. The car is breaking up top of 3rd. Loss of power and popping. Runs fine after. Seems like I'm hitting a rev limiter??? Anyone experience this?

Never run Map 3 myself yet, staying on Map 2. I experience popping but definitely no loss of power, more like aggressive pops that sound really well with the power upgrade.
 
How complicated, if at all, is swapping plugs? Quick look seems like it's straight forward, nothing fancy?

How complicated, if at all, is swapping plugs? Quick look seems like it's straight forward, nothing fancy?
If you follow the guidance of 99% of the videos out there, your going to have a really long process to swap those spark plugs. However me and my mechanic found a very simple straight forward way around that. I highly recommend switching these with the JB4. Now this video below doesn't show my step for steps but it does tell you what you need to do when you come to the one plug everyone else struggled with.

Plugs are gapped .022, fuel wires I would have to say are working, ran great on map 2 while drag racing. Only recently moved to map 3. I will do a few more pulls and log. Not a complete loss of power just popping and breaking up.

Yeah i had happen a couple of times, but after one run it didnt happen anymore, then again my oil temp was only about a quarter way warmed up on the gauge

I would just wait, otherwise u will be doing the same process twice, unless ur really urging lol
 
How are you guys/gals doing your logs? 1st gear or auto/manual mode? If on manual does it still upshift?
