Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

After getting the jb4 do I need to buy the iOS app or does it come with a download key in the box? I don’t wanna buy it now then find that in the box.

For various reasons rather than just charge $175 for the adapter and app we had to split it up, $140 for adapter, $29 for app. Good news is the app works for all future JB4s you may run. :)

22CF5A48-DFD7-47BF-89AC-A41C68218672.webp Ok guys I got the chip installed and put in the fuel setting I saw. The car was boosting funny. After I hit the button flat boost its working great now. Do these setting look correct? And how do I know the fuel wires aren’t working? This is new to me so any tips to get started would be great. I put it on map 5 by mistake did not go full throttle but I have to watch my fingers.

you dont have to input any changes for maps 1 and 2. You should probably play around with those two maps first. Only on map 3 do you need to change fuel bias only. But that requires blended fuel e85 and high test.

Check your logs for the AFR. Set your fuel settings as per Terry's directions as well. Map 5 i haven't made any changes and have let Terry review the logs.

Flatboost is for setting map6 boost values quickly. Fuel setting should match defaults in thread: Kia & Hyundai JB4 - N54Tech.com - International Turbo Racing Discussion

If you need tuning help then just record a JB4 log of what you want us to look at/help you with.

Thanks, it was weird the first drive I did boost was coming on really odd. But after a couple min it seemed to go back to normal. Drove it twice now and it’s been running fine. Does the jb4 do some learning at first or something?
 
Nothing you should be able to really feel. Without a JB4 log it's not possible to offer any useful advice. So if it acts up again be sure to record a log.

Sound good, it felt like the boost wasn’t not coming on smooth car was running fine though. Is it possible the car was still to cold and the safely measured made it do that? For the safety measures for knock are they on from default or do I have to turn them on. Thanks again

I have noticed after a couple pulls the car will start pulling better. Mine is mostly in the transmission shifts though. When i first did map 2 the transmission was weird for about 3 pulls then was fine.

Guys took plugs out with out removing intake made a small video with comments.

When it's cold the JB4 will revert to stock boost levels. Anyway if it comes up again capture a log of it and we can look in to it further.

Biggest pain in the ass plug change I've ever encountered besides on my Forester's boxer motor.
I didn't take the intake off, I followed the other video that was posted on this forum elsewhere. Still a pain in the ass!
I think it was a combination of slightly too long extensions and too big/fat of sockets and swivels. Finally got it done though!
 
7C6F168A-66D8-47D9-851B-22E21E87F1EB.webp So I’ve had a issue twice now while using the low boost mode tune 4. It gone to 0% boost the turbos are making zero boost. Then I change to tune 0 and it’s still zero boost. After turning car off and on then I get normal boost. Is this just a issue with that mode 4? Here is a screen shot when I have no boost. I wonder if I have a defective tuner.
