Hi Terry
I just did two pulls on my way home, with map 8.
They are 2nd gear pulls @ ~37mph.
Could you please have a look at the logs?
Do you have any idea why the throttle closed two times in the 1st run. Is there any factor is causing this?
I also wonder why the ECU PSI is so low at the beginning (below 8psi), is it normal?
I've seen the car use more boost in other days, with the exact same settings.
Thanks as always![]()
155mph? what is the temp there iats were very low. What are you using for fuel?Hi Terry

Too exoticHEs also on meth. That helps a ton. When you getting your BMS meth kit!
Thanks!Logs look good. I don't see any throttle closure. psi2 is manifold boost. When it starts to drop relative to pre-throttle boost more than maybe 2psi then you have early throttle closure. At moderate throttle closure you'll see about a 5psi variance.
Boost is lower in 1st gear while the turbos spool up.

Thank you. Learning every day! That's irrelevant. Throttle is used to regulate boost to target among other things. Looking at the ratio of manifold boost to pre-throtlte boost tells you if it's something that is slowing you down or not.
Log looks clean but log v8 firmware next so we see timing in cyl 2-6. That is normally a better indicator of how octane is looking for the boost levels.![]()

Hmm. I attempted to ask this in a thread that got thwacked summarily. So visibility to timing on all cylinders will help indicate octane...does it provide sufficient specificity to support a soft octane gauge option in the mobile app?
Yes among the things we plan to develop for the Stinger is an autotuning maps like we have for several of the BMW applications. This concept uses learned octane & learned ethanol values to optimize tuning for the maximum safe performance for any given octane, climate, situation, dynamically.
