Wheel/size/offset and tire/size/profile...can be confusing.

Lowered on Ark GT-S. No rubbing or issues at all. If anything I could have gone a little more conservative on the front offset.

Nice look, I'm considering something similar when I replace my stock-size tires. Do you see an increase in ride height? The tire size calculator shows that your tires are about 1/2" taller than stock, is that reflected in ride height?

Yeah, it would be. Which for me is fine, I don't need the front end on the ground. Fills out the wheel wells much better than stock sizes and looks much better imo. Just wish these damn spring company's would actually start lowering the front level with the rear. That extra inch gap kills me

Thank you for the answer. I've been considering going the other way with a 245/35 and a 285/30, but then I'm not lowered at all.

so according to research and calculations, these will fit. looking at Aodhan AFF7 wheels. if i do H/R springs will that be a problem? Car is RWD.

How close to the struts were your front wheels? This is what mine looked like with 20x9 +35. I added a 3mm spacer just to be safe aswell. What tires aswell?

Mine was really close i could get a credit card in there lol tires are 255/35/19 on front.

Sure here is couple pics they clear brake calipers easy have deep concave on front as well why went with 9.5" in front looks way better than mild concave.

20x9 +32 pretty close, but no signs of contact.
I measured the back space once, but can’t recall the measurement. 5733B1B2-92AC-4E75-82A9-A8EE028195C4.webp

Damn, that looks good. Are you lowered at all? How much poke up front? I wanted to try 20x9.5 +30/25 for concave wheels but didn’t want poke up front since mine are flush. (On stock suspension)

Pretty flush with fender with 255 tires with any wider might rub the strut , and many wheel company will try and say it won't fit.

Curious if anyone ever tried a 20x10 ET40 on rear of a gt2 RWD? Have/had 20x9 ET35 Kmc district on 2020 gt-line then swapped for niche Milan 20x8.5 ET35. When I traded for my new gt2 I got them to put my wheels on new car...... long story short, need more traction. Lol

Hello everyone! I figured I would add my findings in here as well. Most of these have already been covered, but I'm the type who won't get it unless I try it myself.

So basically, what I wanted to do was see if my 8.5" rear wheels would fit in the front and to also see how the 8" front wheels fit in the back without a spacer. This way I would get another two of each and run a square setup for winter and summer. I was already informed by another member that this would work with a 15mm spacer on the front, but for some reason a 15mm spacer is way harder to find in Canada compared to a 20mm. So I ordered the 20mm and set to work.

The rear wheels have an offset of 46.5, so with the 20mm spacer, you're looking at an offset of 26.5. In the photos I posted, I had just lowered the car, so I think once the suspension settles a little more, the wheel would push in a tiny bit. But personally, I'm still not sure if I'm happy with this, I will redo this and wait for the suspension to settle to get a perfect idea of what it will look like. I did find a set of 15mm spacers and placed the order, will update with photos of what that looks like when I get them on.

I also took the time to see what sort of clearance the 8 inch wheels have between the tire and strut. I know we are limited on the front wheels so I wanted to make sure I had an exact number (or very close to) to know what I can play with. The tires I have on my wheels are 245/35/19 all around. So with that in mind, the gap between the most outward part of the tire and the strut is 15mm (roughly, hard to measure perfectly in that space).

The one thing I am having a hard time wrapping my head around, is how some people are running 9" wide wheels with a +35 offset and 255 tires. I even saw some people claiming to be running +38 offset, while others had to use a +32-33 offset to make sure their wheels fit without rubbing. The OEM 8" wheel has an offset of +34, so if you add an additional inch to the wheel, that's 12.5mm on each side. You have already used up 12.5 out of 15mm clearance, plus the addition of a wider tire, I can't tell if this should work or not. Like I said, I've seen some say it doesn't and some say it does, so I'm just confused.

your rear tire is just a tad inside flush it looks like. your front tire is pokey. not a fan. it looks like you could narrow up your strut clearance some without issue, by the pictures. 245 on 8.5 wide in front works for a lot of people. I wouldn't even consider 255 on a 9 wide in front.

8.5x35 offset 18” with 255 wide tires works for me and clears the struts. I like the ride and acceleration of the wheels. Its close so its going to likely depend on tires and wheels and 19” with everything else the same should buy you a little more wiggle room with the struts, since the diameter/radius is larger. I cant see 9” wide 18” wheels working, the edge of the rim is literally the point of closest approach.

19 x 9.0 +33 offset with 255's will work on the front.

Would that be without spacer? I'm looking to square up my set up with an extra set of OEM rear wheels.

no, you said 20mm spacer making 26.5 offset. a 10mm spacer would make your 8.5 wide wheel 36.5 in front which would be about right visually with no poke, I think it'd be flush. the 8" front wheel in back is going to work just fine squared. and that 36.5 offset in front with the 8.5 rear wheel will make a squared setup with that wheel work. however, that said, unless you can find a used set of oem wheels you are going to pay through the nose they are way overpriced new.
