Welcome. Here is an example of calculating the difference between OEM and your wheel preferences:I know I know... did you search? yes I did, but I can't find a definitive answer. I'm looking at Front 20x9 +25, Rear 20x10.5 +40. Will it fit? Will it rub?
They’ll fit, but they will poke a bit and rub on dips. I have 20x9 +32 (245/35) and 20x10 +45 (285/30) on stock suspension. Flush fitment with no rubbing over big dips. I added a 5mm spacer to make it 20x10 +40 in the beginning, but I rubbed slightly on big dips so I took it off.I know I know... did you search? yes I did, but I can't find a definitive answer. Not sure of widest but I know 245/45/18 should work on 18x8.What are the widest tires can be used on stock 18x8 rims? I was thinking about 245/45r18
Rubbing on the fenders? On stock suspension? Guess I’ll be rolling the fenders in the future. I got a great deal, but 2 get 2 free. They’ll fit, but they will poke a bit and rub on dips. Yeah, half down the tire wall. With that rear offset you’d probably still rub after doing that, unless you have a bit more camber in the rear, or get skinnier tires.Rubbing on the fenders? On stock suspension? Guess I’ll be rolling the fenders in the future. I got a great deal, but 2 get 2 free.
From the first page, it seems like 285/25 might work better than 285/30 with no rubbing... what are your thoughts?Yeah, half down the tire wall. With that rear offset you’d probably still rub after doing that, unless you have a bit more camber in the rear, or get skinnier tires.
Rim & Tire Size Calculator. Custom Offsets Haven't you defeated the whole idea of going with 20" wheels? Look at the gap. The rear sidewall is also going to look noticeably thinner than the front sidewall, which will look, weird. From the first page, it seems like 285/25 might work better than 285/30 with no rubbing... what are your thoughts?
The stock tires are 35 front and 30 rear already... Switching to a 30/25 split might not be that bad. from the excel doc Staggered 20A has that as a profile setting. and Kamauxx is running that too. IDK... I'm on stock height, and didn't think that it would be an issue. Is there a Camber kit for the Stingers?Haven't you defeated the whole idea of going with 20" wheels? Look at the gap. Oddly, the rear wheels can adjust camber. The front is fixed, and no kits, so far as I have read/heard.Is there a Camber kit for the Stingers?
Naw dude, check out my reply to that post on the first page. The stock tires are 35 front and 30 rear already... Then what’s the best way to avoid rubbing on dips? Not like my town or drives are full of potholes… 285/30 I understand would be best. And yes, 285/25 are only on summer tires.Naw dude, check out my reply to that post on the first page.
Keep in mind, if you go with a 285-25 tire that's a pretty skinny sidewall. And the choice of tires will be severely limited compared to a more common 285-30. Plus, going with a 285-25 would mean the overall height of the setup will be half an inch SMALLER, so even though you're increasing the wheel size you're not decreasing the wheel well gap, you're making it bigger.
Is that pic with or without the spacer? I'd love that setup if the rears were tucked in a bit more. They’ll fit, but they will poke a bit and rub on dips. That was without a spacer, so +45. This is what +40 looked like before. Is that pic with or without the spacer? I'd love that setup if the rears were tucked in a bit more.
Is your car AWD?Is anyone running?
F:255/35/19 (19x9 ET 30)
R:285/30/19 (19x10 ET 45)
Yes, I'm AWD. So It'll be 245/35/19 275/30/19?Is your car AWD?
If so you'll need to run 245 35 on the front to match the rear diameter.
