Wheel/size/offset and tire/size/profile...can be confusing.

I got 275 on my 9.5 and wish I had went 285 just from the aesthetic standpoint. I run AWD 245/275 with no discernable issues so long as you are within 3% differential it's fine. Like Buklau I recommend the 285. Plus, once you up the horsepower, you'll need all the traction you can get as I found out ;)

I’d go with 285/30 since it’s closer size to 245/35. There are many AWD stingers with this setup and lowered. Try joining Stinger Facebook groups, they can help aswell.

PS. I follow your IG. Lol
Yeah, I’m more concerned about the tire hitting the fender on 285s!
Ayyy do you have a car account or just a personal?

I’m more concerned with my fenders due to my +40 offset in the rear on 285s

I have a 2021 kia stinger gt1 awd and I was under the impression that my stock rims are staggered 8 and 8.5 inch wide. I bought some stance sf07 rims all 8.5 inch and just dropped my car off to have them installed. he called and said he measured the stock rims and got 9 and 9.5 and sand he can still put them on but I am losing tread and width? does that make sense?

No, that does not make sense. The OE GT wheels are 8" in front and 8.5" in back. Why he would make the point at all is weird, since you're obviously going squared, so you have already opted to "lose" width in the back (if he's right) (a 9" in front is going to require particular care to avoid rubbing).

Clearly the tech that measured them is measuring wrong. Also you aren't "losing" treadwidth, that's not really how tires/wheels work. If anything it'll just slightly effect the circumference of the tire and how the sidewall looks. Did you get new tires as well or are you trying to put stggered tire sizes on a squared wheel set? that's going to look a bit off. Fronts are going to look more stretched than the rears.

thanks guys he ended up installing and imo looks perfect. I think he measured wrong. obviously trying to point that out to a mechanic as a customer is a losing battle.

she looks great sidewalls don't look too far off from stock. here's before and after.

Looks great. What is your tire size?

Looks pretty nice at least.

So I have been reading through all of this and yes very confusing. I have a 2018 Stinger GT2 AWD. It came with 18" squared set up. I am wanting to change to 19" staggered. Here is what I am thinking about.
Front. 19 x 8.5 with 35mm offset. 245x35x19
Rear 19x10 with 38mm offset. 285x35x19.

I am figuring that this should work with out any issues.

Any thoughts from those that have done it?

I don't really want to go to 20's incase I decide to lower the car later.

Thanks

I went with 19x8.5 inch rims all the way around my car is brand new less than 2k miles so I just put the stock tires on the new rims for the time being so oem tires and size.
I am toying with the same. Not a problem that the front tires are not the same size at the back now? They are now spread wider, right?

yea that shouldn't be a problem. I have two stingers. one has staggered 19" from the factory the other is squared 18"

So there are these wheels I want from Braelin. They have a new BR14 design 20x9 +35 and 20x10 +45. I talked to some sales reps and they said the front won’t fit and one said adding even 3-5mm spacer might not work. They said that 19x8.5 +30 and 19x9.5 +42 would work.

going beyond 8.5" in the front puts you into a grey area of whether something will fit or not without test fitting since the strut likes to get in the way. that size front wheel has been done before here: New Shoes for Lucille

Man I’m really confused. I’ve seen dozens of people run 20x9 +35 with several wheels such as Niche Gamma, Misano, Gemello, etc without any issues, but then the sales says otherwise due to potential brake clearance. Also, these wheels are brand new to the company and the closest wheel smilies are Vossen HF5.
