Looks like your 1-2 shift happened twice.
No more 1/4 mile list updates until next Friday. On vacation in the most remote place on earth and internet sucks.
Found better internet. Go out and race away!

Sorry I forgot to list my mods, was to damn excited to run in the 11's. K&N typhoon intakes, JB4 set on Map8 WMI 94 octane from the racetrack, mufflers removed, secondary cats hollowed out, interior removed (pass seat rear seats spare tire parcel shelf). and a hybrid version of the BMS burnout switch. I wired a deadman switch into the brakelight signal wire on the brake pedal switch number 5 wire. switch is always closed but when I push it, it opens and the car doesn't see a brake signal and thinks the car is moving and gives about 2600 rpm and about 10-12 psi boost.

Appreciate you keeping the list updated but can you please use the proper name for Terry’s DIY mod. It’s called “Burger burnout switch”, not a brake snip and is causing confusion on the forum when people are trying to search for it.

How was the da in the winter when you ran that?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't the idea of a burnout switch been around for quite a while? I know it's new to the Stinger community and was suggested by Terry but I think naming the mod after him might be a bit much.

It has but he is the one whom Identified the wire and procedure for doing so. With pics and instructions.

So how about calling it "Burnout switch mod, with help from Terry for Stingers" or BSM:WHFTFS. Has a great ring to it. :D

You could also call it a BMS Switch for short.

Cutting the brake signal is nothing new just like adjusting your engine tuning to raise power is nothing new. You should still give credit to the tuners for their work. :)

Sorry if this is already covered but has anyone tried manually shifting at 5500 rpm? Someone on the G70 forum ran a 12.672 @ 109.46 completely stock by shifting this way.. That's with a 60ft of 1.956. RWD

I've tried various shift points but never made much difference for me.

Interesting.. Do people run a 12.6 stock on occasion? I'm not sure which track but he's in Florida.

12.7 stock is the best I’ve seen for the Stinger so only a 0.03 difference for the much lighter G70 isn’t very impressive. Thought they were running 0.2sec quicker 0-60s so losing that advantage in the 1/4m is somewhat disappointing. Maybe shifting that early actually hurt his times as I expected 12.5s from that smaller & lighter 3.3tt:unsure: Good to know g70’s aren’t that much quicker and thanks for sharing.

Hello all,
I took the family to the track this past Friday. Testing the Stinger with a few new modifications. I was really just hoping to test out the BMS Switch and practice my launch. It was very hot, around 91° and very humid, so I did not expect very good numbers. I am happy with the results.

GT1 AWD
JB4 (running map 2)
K&N Typhoon Intakes
Kunstwerks secondary Downpipes/Catback
HKS Plugs
BMS Switch

That's the best commentating I've ever heard on a racing video!

What are your wheel/tire specs?

ESR RF2 19x8.5 +30 on 255/35R19
Goodyear Eagle Sport A/S

Are the wheels lighter than stock? How was traction with the A/S? Seems like the car launched pretty hard. What was your 60ft time?

I'm not sure on the weight compared to stock. They are rotary forged if that makes any difference. I was averaging a 1.75 60', my best was a 1.69. Traction seems decent at the current power level. Probably a different story once I have the WMI installed and higher boost. It's really frustrating that there is no way around the water box at this particular track. They always seem to re-spray right before I line up. I'll post a video of my first launch with the BMS Switch. It was my first "test" of the new launch. Pulls so hard! I let off around the 1/8th mile+/-
