Will you update?

I used a USB stick instead of the SD card. When I left the SD card in and inputted USB stick, the update wanted to use the SD card, which had the original nav version on it ; it just reinstalled what was on the SD card. When I ejected the SD card, the update then recognized the USB stick. Should I use the old SD card and install the update on that card? I didn't want to overwrite the original SD card.
I plugged my SD card into my 'puter and downloaded the update (took forever); then inserted the SD card in the dash and went for a drive: the new NAV update installed and was functioning in less than half an hour.

I installed the new update today..the November one. Anyone notice anything new...they didnt release a features for it.

Where did you get the update from? I still see the april and aug updates on update.kia.com.

I downloaded it just in case, it is the April update still.

Mine definitely updated, if the software was the same it would not have prompted the update.

Looks like it is up now, minimal updates. Looks like a dark map theme is available for day and night mode now though for those that use the factory nav.
Dang it. No wireless CarPlay for the 10.25” version. I was really hoping they would fix this. It’s on so many Kia and Hyundai cars over the past couple of years.

That has nothing to do with the software. That's the head unit.

In this case, it's not that simple. The 10.25" system was built with wireless carplay hardware in it. In fact, the brochures for the first cars (Not the Stinger) with it listed it as included. There was some sort of software issue and I guess they still haven't fixed it yet. Makes me think they are not going to.

Must not be. The EV6 GT, due end next year, will not have it.

bummer, I hadn't looked into that. I wonder what the heck they messed up?

Reading the change log, this update looks like a fail.

Who really cares for or wants a full dark scheme in the day time? I don't see how its any more contrasting than the lighter schemes. Also, still no manual day/night control.

Lets hope the apr/may update brings something useful to the table.

For anyone that does install this, please comment on how visible the hvac icons are (esp the active vents).

The update finally hit my account so I am downloading it now. Looking at the downloader, I am curious about something - how come the pre-refresh US Stinger have the "Premium" skin, but post-refresh get the "Standard" skin? You folks with the pre-refresh cars have a much nicer-looking infotainment and IC theme. We've also lost functionality (No g-meter, no lap timer, etc.)

It's not what we asked for but its better than nothing. I would prefer brightness be controlled by the dimmer switch on the dash again. Thankfully android auto can be forced dark mode and the rest of Kia's interface is dark.

The climate control screen is MUCH improved. Image attached.

I see no changes in the icons like the changelog says.

I don't know if this was there before, but in navigation you can enable auto-centering the map after poking around.

Edit: Also it took 25mins to update while driving. About 15mins to check/copy data and 10mins to install.

@Grump That's improved? Is that in sunlight?

With the apr update, I can't tell where it's supposed to be coming from when driving, other than by feel. Are you saying it's more visible now?

No idea why. Seems like an oversight in my opinion.

looks like it, now in the center bottom it actually tells you what the setting is, vs just the airflow graphic

^^Thanks for pointing out the obvious :). I looked but did not see it the first time in the pic. Old age... Hmm... That's what is missing in the april update. I can't remember if the original fw had it or not.

Anyone with a MY 22 not yet apply any updates?
