Lozic ECU + TCU + AWD Tune

New stinger owner here
A lozic ecu and tcu seems enticing for me since I want the performance of a jb4 but because of the disappointing exhaust on the stinger I wanted pops and bangs so would one of these be a good option for me?
It is my daily driver (2019 RWD GT) and im in Colorado with only 91
Yes you can get pops and bangs with tune. If you don't plan on using water meth or E85 blends for higher octane I'll probably go with 1.2 bars. But these guys are really easy to talk to on Facebook Messenger or Instagram messenger. They'll guide you to what would be best for you.

1.2 bars and use your JB4 to fine tune?

I was kind of wondering the same. Get very aggressive tune then dial it back via JB4?? Sounds like it should be possible.

1.2 bars would be about equivalent to what jb4 map would you say? Also are you referring to lozic

I don't have a jb4 im deciding between it or the lozic

Yeah I was wondering the same thing in case I needed to adjust my afr's fueling or anything. Maybe map 6 zero boost but EWG and settings and stuff can help. We need to ask terry@bms for sure.

My experience, an ECU tune outweighs a piggyback. With our platform most of us already have Lap3/JB4 so might as well use it to our advantage such as logging, WMI control, and in this case maybe making a non aggressive ECU or aggressive ECU the opposite based on needs but that's something that's not 100% sure of with this tune. As far as I know.

For me im not planning on running WMI or anything plus I dont want to spend that much on both. I do have access to e85 near me but thats about it. How good is the lozic with just the ecu and tcu no jb4?

Depending how aggressive your tune is you're going to have to use CPI/WMI.
I'm not sure how well of a tune it is as I don't have one yet but I'm trying to do my own personal research from those who already have it. It looks good from what I've seen, I just want the safest most aggressive tune I can get so I don't necessarily have to fine tune it.

I know what WMI is but what is CPI?

You do not need JB4 with Lozic ECU.
Contact lozic for a order form and ask him about your octane level.

I sent him a dm on insta but its probably a while before a response. As far as mods needed what do I need. I know probably plugs and intake but what else

And so will this work with the lozic without the jb4? And I only need it if I was doing e85 right. How well is the lozic ECU and TCU on just 91

Guys... many talk about just boost. Boost isnt all that counts. I can be quite shure that 1,7-1,8 bar of boost will not make the car faster compared to 1,5. When you go thruu gears and shift you probably dont go under 4.500 rpm when shifting. What you do when you put on boost at lower Rpm is just torque which is what kills an engine and also gearbox. Just shift down instead and wot at the right rpm. We have stock rods, pistons, small turbos that will go on its edge. Also fuel is a limit for us.

I would like to have some tuner do an HPFP upgrade with also injectors som we could run 100% E85, then a tuned stock ECU will do wonder as we can have som more ignition but it also needs scaled fuel maps. Anyone that can produce a cheaper pump?

Yes, there is benefits will an ECU tune. You can scale all tables like fuel that then can have a wider range inclusive enrichment, you can fine tune ignition in that range you have add boost and so on. And of course a tuned ECU will communicate inside with all parameters.

But JB4 is a very good Piggy, it can do all that we want with all bolts on that most of us have. Its easy to change, tune, drive different maps and so on. There is of course some things that I would have but I wait it for coming and stay with JB4, the hardware in engine (with bolt ons) is what it is and no one could do magic there.

Most different tune up will be TCU, probably even for a stock Stinger. But of course a mild boost increase will do. I have test JB4 map 3-5-6-7 with all bolts on, like inlet, filter, chargepipe, exhaust, DP with race C...s, big IC, WMI and these 4 maps will be like the same in times when doing Dragy. Can be changes back to back of 1/10 th of a second. Like when hot weather the map 3 has benefits to the other with higher boost and thats because Turbo limits.

I will go to my friends new Mustang Dyno soon and compare, measure different boost, with or without WMI and so on. Dont take this post wrong now. A good ECU tuned are good of course but still JB4 will do about the same thing. Lozic guys seems to be good tuners! No doubt about that!
But have anyone looked in to Motec for Stinger? There you can have a more local tuner make the tune just for you and also it will hold for a long time if you do hardware changes with engine. Cars is fun but also about the costs...

Best of luck from Sweden!

Curious, how are you all without a JB4 logging your runs?

Fuel pumps here. They have a low pressure too. FX-180

The Motec M142 is available with plugin harness for the 3.3.

The problem is no one is making injectors. A few of us contacted FIC and they’re not interested at the moment. I was hoping the engine shared the same injector as Toyota or another manufacturer, but it doesn’t appear to.

As for internals, Carrillo will make rods and CP pistons for anything if you give them enough measurements.

We can even close the deck... Cylinder Support System – cylindersupportsystem.com
I spoke with Jeff Morgano and he’s very familiar with the Lambda II blocks.

Then just figure out some ARP fasteners that will fit the heads and mains and you’d have a pretty robust engine.

I haven’t spoken to IPT about a transmission upgrade yet.

I’m just enjoying the car how it is (for now), but there’s a lot of potential.

Yes, its all about money. I know as my GTR mods costs more than the car did new.

About HPFP... I still think its to expensive, when it be cheaper I'll buy one. I still think that about 500 engine HP is enough for daily driving. If there is need for more power its better to have another car, like GTR

Yes what do you mean not stable?
Have 3 runs it goes on limp mode
I've tried 100 octane running meth and E mixtures. May I just got a bad tune.

What do your log say when it sent to into limp mode did you feel any knocking, boost surge, fuel cut, timing cut? Has this been happening since you got the tune or was it fine at first and then began to happen?
