Lets talk tuning, piggy back vs ECU flash.

Every one of your posts is simply "I'll let the logs speak for themselves" but you don't seem to understand that hundreds of people are reading your post with no idea what timing is or what it does. Without you explaining why these points are bad, you're basically gaslighting and coming off to be an idiot.

Running the turbos hard at high RPM can cause stress and unnecessary heat which isn't evident in any case since I doubt anyone has over 30k right now. I don't expect to see any numbers for EGT or any other relevant data point, but it's been noted in other car communities that holding boost up high is not good (with small turbos / outside efficiency range).

The same cannot be said about timing, the map will be specific to this car to most extents. If the ECU is not pulling timing back, why is it bad? JB4 is not intercepting / hiding the signal from the ECU.

On the other side, we have people running Lap3 saying that the 21psi they're running is no big deal (although they've been really quiet lately for some reason).

One of the guys running the LAP3 Pro has nearly 40k miles (last time he posted. Maybe more now). He previously ran both a JB4 and LAP3 Uncle.

Probably not many people in the U.S. with more stress on their turbos than him. One day he shed some light on the engine's week point for us all.

At this point in time we're comparing an ECU tune running 0.02 seconds quicker in the 1/4 mile than a piggyback tune, but the piggyback is trapping 2-3 mph faster. For all intents and purposes (AT THIS CURRENT TIME):

Tork is QUICKER due to their cars having more traction (indicated by lower ETs)

JB4 is FASTER due to their cars having better power / weight (indicated by trap speeds and back half mph gains)
Tork had more traction than Terry, true but across the board the tork tuned cars are launching much better.
I dont think I've seen any jb4 car do better than 1.95 60 foot on or off track awd or rwd. My stock tuned awd did 1.91, now hitting 1.87. I've seen Tork turn 1.90 although he only did 1.95 on his 11.98 pass.
Also you are looking at a fresh tune wmi car vs torks 5 month old tune. Tork will put in another .2+ gap with his new tune update and probabably another .2 adding wmi. (his tune update knocked .25 off my 0-60) Torks tune improvement included holding timing and full throttle on shifts and when Terry did the same yesterday, he dropped some time.
No time for a victory lap yet cause you will look silly when the gap goes back to .3 or .4 But i do applaud Terry on his improvements and kick ass run 12.0 run

Both On map 2. With a firmware not tailored for DPs. If weather stays clear next weekend, I'll try another run with octane booster and map 5 wheni head to the country. Like someone else said. We are literally taking hundredths right now between platforms. When full tune matches the convenience and clear out performs piggy back there will be lots of customers. There just isn't very much daylight right now to claim outright superiority from a performance perspective.

Would have been a definate contender for the record given the 60' and 330' @ 5.12( same 60' and faster 330 than your record run respectively ). I mean i should be faster given I'm more modded and theoretically should be making more power, but we all know it takes more than power to put together a good run.

hey man can you update your post of the first imperssion of the primary DP...like install, what you had to do to solve the overboost code....etc....

Here is a 5.14 330 and only ran 12.03. So you could have run 12.01. Who knows. But seriously yeah probably in the 11s. Weird thing is i can run 3.87 0-60 but my 11.95 run was only a 4.46!
Does that mean i can go 11.5?

@KLR STINGER lets do a friendly challenge. I'm adding a secondary dp but not a primary. Lets see who can do a faster 1/4 by March. Dragy or slip. That will give you time to drop the winter tires and make safe dragy runs and give me time to get my dp and for the track to open. Full bolt on mods and jb4 vs tork tune and full bolt ons minus primary dp. We won't go full Terry on this so no long list of cheats and friendly low key. Run what ever octane and map you want. I'll be static tuned for 92 octane but may add booster or some 100 at the track for the worthless piece of mind. You in?

You're being too optimistic about March being clear enough up here in Canada. Our tracks don't open till mid April at best and I was still skiing at that time last year. I usually don't have my summer tires on till late May! But I'm down and I'll be at it any chance I can in the country road "Dragy" strip. Come spring I'll probably be on meth so won't be Apples to apples. I'm not stopping there either. I'll be doing turbos some time next year, so one way or another I'm taking that AWD record! Car as it sits will go 11s. Just need the factors to conspire.

Ok lets go your best before meth. April / May is fine. Wasn't sure how far up or east you were in the great white north. I'm near Vancouver and they don't get much snow.
Edit. Lets stick to dino fuel and booster is ok. No 100 octane or ethanol. So every day streetable gas.

I forgot he got the primary dp .... I might go that route but not sure if there are any issues with those with the jb4 ....
