UPDATE: Installed the latest map update and not only is that ugly purple screen gone now but the option to change from KMS to MPH is back as well so thanks all

Is this a new release? The US portal only shows Nov '21, so I guess we're still waiting for whatever you're getting in Canada.

It may very well be the Nov Update. Not sure as I don't see a date for it. Before my whole screen had a purple background and now its only the icons that are purple and the background screens are black. Map Version is NAM.14.47.453.206.6 --- CK19.CAN.293.210805 MICOM.D

most likely is.. you can see what updates are available when in different markets by switching here.. looks like korea got the navigation update for 2022 in january but doesn't look like much if any UI updates.. just map updates..

Thanks for posting...has anyone done it? Any other changes? I am most interested in Android Auto updates because mine is really buggy, even on last update.

I welcome just NAV updates. I had a route going WB on CA-88 towards Clements yesterday, and in the middle of nowhere, on a perfectly straight road where there is nothing but pastures and fields, it showed I needed to do a U-turn. As soon as I pass that point, then it went away.
Weird.

Just got done updating to this new version on my 22 took about an hour and can say this update fixed all the issues I had from the previous update. The unit is now very responsive, and I can actually use Android Auto it connects instantly and no longer lags endlessly. Very pleased to say the least.

Okaaay, a mystery here: I went to that page and downloaded the update to a USB stick, and my car said that I am already running that software version (I updated last spring or summer, not sure now). But, I see no "clean and stylish Black" theme as bragged up on the other update webpage Notice | Official Kia Navigation Update Website. So, it appears that we are talking about two updates here?

The version in my car is: CK.USA.SOP.V123.210329.STD_H No Black theme with that one.

What is the software version that has the Black theme?

What I would like (it's not a big deal but annoying) is to have the distance to the next turn updated to some level of accuracy: since my last update I've had to adjust what NAV says and what I see: NAV says "50 feet" and I am already starting into the turn. heh!
