Well all the updates downunder are free!
Either way, does it use the SD card?

I'm not sure about that method. I removed the nav SD card from the car and put it in a laptop for direct download.Ok, I managed to download the update for the Stinger's Navigation Maps, it has been downloaded to a removable USB memory stick, to load it into the car's system, do you just stick the memory stick in the usb port next to the wireless charging pad in Aussie Stingers ?
I believe it's one per annum or when a new version is released.I was told only the first one was free? How accurate is your mail? It would be great if thats true.

I’m lazy. What does v13 have that 12.5 doesn’t besides any map update? It looks like a new update to v13 will be available soon. I would encourage everyone to fill out the feedback survey. If they get enough ppl to complain about the cost, maybe they will include for free some day. Prob not though.
I cannot post links or images yet, just use google.
The change log hasn't been released yet. I would assume it won't be released until the update itself is live.I’m lazy. What does v13 have that 12.5 doesn’t besides any map update?

7.7M+ miles in maps
For anyone who has done the update, have you noticed that the folder option in the 'List' for USB media has been removed? Why would Kia do this? Why take something away that was there before and working fine? Something that is just a basic sort function of any software/media player? I could not believe it; still cannot. I had the option before the update, now it is gone. Which sucks because now there is no way to separate any of my music. I usually listen by genre or category, or sometimes just a folder full of specific songs. So, maybe a folder for seasonal listening...or a road trip, or just plain 'rock', 'pop' and so on. Now that they have removed the folder option, any time you set to shuffle, it will ignore the folders and instead jump throughout all media. So could be listening to rock one second, then suddenly it is Christmas music (just as an example). Before, when set to Folder, it would shuffle just within that specific folder (which is how it works on every other car I have ever seen). This is awful and is just another item in the long list of poor Kia engineering/design decisions.
Hopefully improved speed limit accuracy in those new miles.
In south Texas, the HUD speed signs are wrong more often than they are correct. Ver 12.5 of the map database still shows roads that were removed more than 5 years ago. Annual updates may be a nice revenue scheme, but for the consumer they are a joke.
