• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Kia Stinger - Australia discussions (pre-release)

Not true, but true. More than likely, insurance companies lobbied the US DOT. And holy crap! No freaking wonder cars are so damn expensive! And this is ONLY about external lighting and reflectors!

***WARNING*** Do not attempt to drive or operate heavy machinery while.... zzzZZZZZZzzzzzz!

Federal Code of Regulations
For sure the Govt layed down the law to auto makers , but it was a big insurance Industry push to get it mandated ,

3m make reflective auto vinyl as well , even in BLACK , so if youre concerned about staying legal but want to delete the bumper's red reflectors you can apply the black reflective and get that clean look for day and reflective for night . It come in lots of colors so you could even try deleting those rear sides that extend from the tails .........................

Kia genuine accessories list for the GT offers roof racks but no roof pod "due to sunroof"

Does anyone know if aftermarket roof racks and pods could go on the GT without having sunroof interference problems?

Picked up my mats today. Stinger GT on front mats only.
Yep got the same ones with my car last week, had to pay for them in the deal though, dealers aren't dropping too much on the prices given the interest.

Hey, we're in the same boat. I'm still learning something new every day. :D
That sounds like life in general. Reading some of the posts lately the boys really know there stuff. Always got good ideas and suggestions. By the time i get my Gt ill know exactly what im adding. Personally got a few touches which will cause debate. Will definitely want to meet up convoy style with this new phenomenon. The Stinger will only be new once. We are those pilots. Looking forward to meeting like minded "Stingees"

Ordered back in August but had trouble with the dealer (changed their mind & said they would not have a white car until next year after promising me one around the end of October) so found another dealer that had this car being delivered in November, so swapped dealers.

Hey Crampo,

Congrats on the purchase and FYI,

If your dealer has promised you a car in November then they should be able to provide you specific details for your vehicle order such as the VIN number and arrival date at the port. One of the other guys on the forum shared this attachment from his order and you can see it takes about 4 weeks to get from production to the local port. It then takes more time to get from port to the dealership and have the pre-delivery work done so if your being promised a car this month they should be able to show you that is it now on the water at least as if it hasn't left Korea yet you wont be driving it in November

Thanks for the information, I will ask the question of them. They did tell me a few weeks back it was on the water. When I spoke with them last week, they told me they would try and confirm with the transport company a more exact date this week.
