• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Kia Stinger - Australia discussions (pre-release)

Weeks ago we mentioned we had the only Sunset Yellow with RNL in the world. Well not anymore. Less than 12 hours in the showroom as a deposit has been taken on this car for delivery next week. Here are some happy snaps of our love child.

Hi all! My name is Mel. A couple of you may know me from over across at the Proceed/Optima owners page and Kia GT Aus on Facebook.

The SEQ members who have collected their cars are organising a meet and cruise if anyone is interested. No need to join us on Facebook, I'll post the details over here shortly.

I'm in Melbourne myself. Checked out the 330Si that CarAdvice has been smashing for a few weeks and have popped into Blackburn Kia to see their demos. They have both the 2.0L and GT there for comparison.

Congrats on your new cars! Looking very forward to the Aus community have many years of happy motoring in their Kia's.

I have to believe that the Stinger script logo that the Koreans use must be designed to cover the rear 2 holes ? I hope so , I have both the E and the Stinger badges ready to go when mine arrives

Is anyone planning to remove all 3 badges off the back of their GT and just fit the large (stinger) script badge in the middle?

I take it the original GT and small (stinger) script badges wont have any fixing holes underneath in the panel?

check out the photo with the black vinyl wrap roof as well

Well Had my test drive on Friday Morning, CERAMIC GREY - STINGER GT, but alas, did not really have much time.
About 8.45am and 30mins later had to give up, cos started raining and the traffic just slowed down and could not get much testing except a little bit of getting know other stuff in car controls, and listen to some awesome Classic 80s music... and it was, well, even the whole package (incl car - styling, performance, feel) was to say the least, Hmmmm.
Final say, EXHILERATING, INTOXICATING, THRILLING, STUPENDOUS, EXTRAORDINARY, BREATHTAKING, ASTONISHING, I COULD JUST GO ON.....

Left the dealer at 9.30am and started heading to the train station to head to work.
I was in awe and shaking in my boots with excitement.
It got better, just got the train and get a call from the dealer.
DEEP CHROMA BLUE has just arrived.
Heading to the dealer on Sunday for a longer session and this time with less traffic head to a motorway and test the speed.

All i can say is, with the complains about when is it arriving and what is included, the doubts and the reviews read and so on, like others in the US are talking about,
it was well worth the wait.

You really have to go for a test drive and make sure, you pick a car if you can, with some preferred colours in mind, just gives you that extra Expectation!

Like I said , I am really thrilled to be picking mine up on Wednesday or Thursday.
Next stop, Tinting, and Dashcam installs.

Just had a play with a black GT in Richmond. VERY happy with this car and while I was there my dealership in Tassie rang to say my baby had just arrived so pick up on Monday shit man so happy

I think you will find holes behind the aussie positioned stinger badge so I think you can't reposition. There is a removable panel in the hatch door both sides

pretty sure the only holes in the trunk are where the Kia badge is , the small Stinger and AWD and GT are not anchored .....................

Well done, should be in the same boat as you in two months time. What dealer in Sydney is yours from? My dealer has just received his white demo got the call from him to say I can have a "look" no mention of a drive yet. Ps. Liked your work with the Police in the 70s-80s lol

How is the no cover on the drink holders? Personally I would have liked one just to give it a slick finish.
My biggest disappointment, silver paint looks cheap, yanks get piano black & cover, would like a full size spare also, 18 x 8 all round, I will wait for update, got test drive monday, gunna bitch & moan about console

Allan I went for a drive in Sorento sport the other week and that has the piano black finish in it. It looks very nice but as soon as you touch it the finger prints showed up every where and they are a pain in the ass to clean because it shows up every little scratch. I pick up my stinger next week and one of the things I plan on doing is getting a spare rim of an optima to replace the small spare. Have you had a close look at the stinger in the flesh yet because if your that worried about the small stuff I,m sure you may change your mined once you have a drive.
