They aren't on the water yet. The cars coming to nz are going on the same ship as the Australian cars. This leaves Korea on the 1st of September and gets to nz on the 20th, so the east coast of Auz around the 13th of September.

Well i paid a deposit about 2 months ago and I have had no further firm information since then.

Interesting - I have seen people say (on other forums) that they have been provided delivery dates .... I have nothing as well but paid a deposit only two weeks ago.

I paid a deposit in March for top spec GT and have been told My order has gone in and due for possible delivery in September. I inquire each month with no real info given back. I will contact tomorrow in regards to a VIN number.

Top Spec GT for me as well (Black with optional exhaust).

I paid my deposit in February for the top spec 3.3 gt. Have not had much info given to me since then other than my colour selection ( aurora black with red interior)

I dropped a deposit on Jan 20. My dealer has been pretty good at keeping me informed of progress when it happens. Seems a long time in between though, but perhaps only to us enthusiastic early buyers. I still have not met (the salesman/dealer) or stepped foot inside the dealership yet, as I'd like to go in there for a good reason, like signing a final sales contract? So I'm still anxious on a final price somewhat but certainly have my heart set on owning this car.

Pretty much as everyone else.
Kia Australia have been slow to say the least right from the get go.
I actually watched the live streaming of the unveiling in Detroit on January 7 with the wife and kids, lol as I'd been closely watching the progress of the car from middle of last year.
I went to the dealership a few days later with the family to 'talk' and put a holding deposit, but the sales man hadn't heard of the car and didn't think it was for the Aussie market. I actually had to show him videos of the car.
Basically such a huge car for the brand and the dealership's weren't briefed as it seems Kia Australia didn't expect the excitement around the car.
He contacted me about a week later telling me that they can accept a holding deposit as the dealership checked with Kia Australia that the car was actually heading to Australia.
By the time I got there with work and finding time was the 24th of Jan and the contract delivery date is written for the 10th of October, but he did say they expect it earlier which seems to be the case.
Since then I've been dealing with the sales manager who seems to be as excited as us, but can't share any further info from what we know already. Like the rest of you feeling anxious as it's been over a year of waiting for me.

Dealer smoke and mirror technique that one. 3mths! really ! wtf!
I also plan on attempting to haggling the ridiculous dealer delivery and handling fee though. Way to much money to unwrap (peal off the plastic), give it a wash (it's new!) fill out some paperwork (online!) and hand me the fkn keys!

Oh the shipping and handling along with signing fees are pure profit for the salesman at least that's the way it is here in the US at most dealerships.

You would have to think something is up by now. Either they are trying to build up hype (not sure how) or the Australian arm is struggling with pricing/ units. The number of reasons why we dont have pricing info in Aus is starting to run thin. Maybe they are still trying to figure out the after market exhaust conversation into the equation!?

I just dunno anymore...
