ive been thinking about getting an aftermarket exhaust but all the posts about unbearable drone keeps scaring me off. What would anyone recommend for least drone without breaking the bank? As far as exhaust mostly want to be able to hear the downshift "burble" when i let off and a little louder/deeper when i get on it.

Here is mine 350 to 400--No drone--muffler delete with welds to underbody of car so exhaust is tight and does not shake or rattle.Plus this setup sounds better then any i have heard.Cats and resonators intact.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxAiTjgUKQ4--This has startup and accelerate and drive by

Looks like my MBRP is going to be 6-8 weeks before it comes in.

For MBRP does it r really matter if its aluminum or stainless steel?

How much should I expect to pay to have a catback exhaust installed ?

is it out of stock or because you are in Canada?
Thats the wait time direct from MBRP. As for install cost I would say 1hr, probably $130-150 CDN

Happy Borla customer here! Loud as hell when you do a full throttle drive by. had my son drive it by me yesterday and it's amazing. I have tips ordered to deal with the drone or deep sounds you get at low rpm cruising up slight inclines. the sound inside and outside the car at mid to high throttle is just fantastic though. If you want aggressive sound, this is a good choice.

My exhaust is at my local Purolator depot. Picking it up today. Going to make an appointment with local Kia dealer to get it installed.

Got my exhaust installed yesterday. Like the sound. Just the right amount of aggressiveness. Haven't noticed any drone others complain about.

Put my winter shoes back on. The gloss black powder coat has gotten hazy after going through the car wash tunnels of most of two winters. This third winter will be sans car wash tunnels: I will go to a hand wash (Luxe Automotive) to get the undercarriage done; and there goes the only reason why I was subjecting my Stinger to a tunnel. Anyway, I used Meguiar's rubbing and polishing compounds to knock that haze back (even the rubbing compound wouldn't get rid of the worst scratches; but the wheels pass the "five to six feet back" rule).

What tips to you use?

Just have originals installed. If I notice an issue I'll order some.

Got my Borla exhaust installed this morning. Drive home sounded nice. I will have to see when I drive more later but so far sounds good.

You'll notice as it carbons in, it gets considerably deeper. I'm about 6000km into mine and it sounds so different to the first day I installed it; removes a lot of the high pitch bark but becomes a deep growl. (Still absolutely love it)

I plan to give this a try sometime soon if I have time. My only unfortunate problem is that my deletes are a bit off centered from the hole. One on the left side is good. But the one next to it is a bit higher from the hole. Is there anyway I can use the heat wrap and cover the wider gap? Or is there something else I can try and use to fill the void. There's a picture for reference. Thank you
Hey - I know this is a few months old, but I've been digging thru the forums looking for someone with this issue, as I'm dealing with the same off-center problem on the right tips of my newly installed MBRP exhaust; it's due to a fitment issue with the ARK dp's, despite them claiming a 1:1 replacement for the AWD

Did you have any luck with compensating for that extra open space with the wrap? Not sure what would be the best way to go about it.

Thanks in advance.

Don't give a damn what they are or what they call them. You couldn't pay me to put OBX anything near my car. But I prefer having exhaust parts that actually fit somewhat and stay together.
Can you explain your experience with OBX, why you are so against them?

The Borla Cat back is 2.25 inch in diameter and matched with the Jun BL mid pipes ( DPs) I have all fit well and the Borla has million mile warranty, so the build is not bad, but with the those mid pipes which removes the one secondary Cats , causes my turbo spool up quickly but with just the Borla Cat back and the rest of the exhaust still stock worked very well and lots of Roar when pushing the pedal lol
So as many have said on here that the Borla has terrible drone sound, you are saying it does not? Do you think it is bc you have an aftermarket mid pipe? Also, since you removed the secondary cat I'm assuming you didn't have to modify the ECU?
