He also said the LSD (Limited Slip Differential) (Limited Slip Differential) looked weak and was probably total crap and said he wouldn't be surprised if it split open at some point
lol, what? Split open like what, a coconut, cashew, watermelon? The dude saw the badge, enough reason to "hate" it. I can't stand mechanics like that. I had one at a "exotic" dealer told me the government mandated KIA to warranty that car since they fall apart so quickly.
I laughed...back on topic..sorry
See told you I know nothingTorque breaks driveline parts, not HP
See told you I know nothing![]()
No worries I know you weren't, but I'm eager to learn anything I can so thanks for the links.Lol I wasn't taking a shot at you or anything. Here's how it works normally:
HP breaks engines and engine components
TQ breaks drive complements
I imagine that the shop was looking at the rear differential. Smoofy has a RWD which has the limited slip rear.
I have yet to see anyone tear up a rear dif due to the "power" they were running. Any issues earlier on were due to the clutch packs and the gear oil additives.

Im thinkin Smoofy's shop /dyno guy is an idiot to start with...the nitwit ran a dyno that crossed below 5252 rpms....and then passed it off as a legit dyno run......I wouldn't let that dude put gas in my truck

Man you have to stop being so negative. You’re breaking the hearts of mrspoofy & anyone with secondary DPs! Lol.Just looked at this one more time and stock is +2 hp at the peak 5500 rpm. (Not the other way around) Its easier to see the small stock tq bump at that rpm giving stock the peak hp advantage.
Its mostly random run variation on the peak. The mid pipe car does have a tiny bit more tq in the low rpms. Certainly can't be felt and probably not measured.
Yes this dyno didn’t show peak HP gains, but it does show noticeable torque gains in the low RPM.
And it's this that counts. You spend less than 5% of your time driving at peak power. The area under the torque curve is what matters (given that power is effectively a function of torque and RPM).
Low RPM is where you are every time you move off from standstill. Low to midrange RPM is where you'll spend 95% of your time driving - and that's where you want the benefits.
I've been sharing my no gains in 0-60 times for months but people don't want to believe it.
I thought a stock car would show some gains. But was certain a modded car would be less than 5 hp.
