K&N drop in filter (3.3TT)

At the very least it probably makes the intake a little louder.

Take one for the team? ;)

I took the intake boxes apart the other day. No carb filter and the stock panel has a lot of surface area, no wire mesh either. The box is completely closed, The only way to get more noise is to either replace the system with a cone style such as the K&N typhoon or, Remove the intake front plate connecting the outside air ducking to the intake housing. I will have to take some pictures of this mod. I gained a little bit more turbo spool noise.

Please do. I'm interested in seeing what you're talking about.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Great!!...In my opinion it is worth it, there is no true CAI available yet for the 3.3TT, everything currently available is a WAI. These will not only improve throttle response but will also need no replacement for a while, all you need to do is clean them with the cleaner kit and you are good to go.

I think I would get these instead of the typhoons for the reason robz32 mentioned.

Plus it's easier and I'm lazy.

Well there goes $110. We'll update when they arrive later this week. Will take pics and stuff when I install them.

Should be slightly increased volume of the blow-off/diverter valve, as well. Not a lot, but some.

Still waiting to hear back from K&N. Putting the part number in a search engine, following a link to the UK website gets the generic part. Clicking on Vehicle applications it only mentions the '18 Stinger - but denotes left side airbox. Sure hope they're the same on both sides for goodness sakes.

The factory panel is identical to the K&N version

Part number for left filter is 33-5067.
Part number for right filter is 33-5068.
