yeah hence the fact that MY IPHONE IS MY NAV.....The question I have , DOES THE GT TRIM COME WITH NAV............without the
car play or android.......
OH! Now I understand what you are asking. Time for some new glasses .
The GT trim does not have Nav as an option to purchase. You need to select the GT1 to get Nav.
I have the nav but find myself using Google maps more often. Since it now shows lane guidance, tells you in advance if you need to make two turns in a short distance, better address search ability, traffic alerts, speed trap alerts, preview upcoming turns while driving, alternate route options while driving, etc-- i am running out of reasons to use Kia nav.
I have not compared the IOs google maps in
carplay to the google maps in
android auto yet--does it have these features in the Ios version yet? (I saw google maps announced last month that they now support
carplay.)
The Kia nav address search is finicky. I find myself searching for the address in the uvo app (which is google powered), save the address in uvo app as a favorite, hook up my phone, press all the buttons to start the uvo app on the car, sync the favorites, select the favorite, then have kia nav map the route. Then I still turn on the google maps or waze for live traffic, road hazards, and speed trap info.
I really thought I would use the kia nav more, but I find google maps on par.
