Come on, it has to be the same one.![]()
Unreal I see ANOTHER #teamorange member in the span of a week…
It’s not!!! The other one had personalized White Sox plates…Come on, it has to be the same one.
Nope…NW Burbs…Palatine, Park Ridge, Arlington Heights…^^So most of the stingers are on the S/W sides?? I can go months before sighting one around here in the north burbs.
That's ridiculously unlikely. I have seen exactly ONE Fed Orange, for less than two seconds as I flashed through an intersection. I have, on the other hand, seen Sunset Yellow several times, different vehicles (I think), and there were never more than 400 of them in the whole US. There have to be more than a thousand Fed Orange vehicles out there; counting the GTS and then the following year the Fed Orange GT2.It’s not!!! The other one had personalized White Sox plates…

More sightings…
Salt Lake Valley, the same. In fact, just this week my wife and I were counting the "steel river" of opposing traffic to notice the non monochromatic vehicles, and it was less than one in five, the rest being black, white or silvery-steely hues: and the only color in the less than 20% was red for the first half dozen, then we finally saw a bluish somethingorother: this all started when she said, "I don't like that color", and the SUV was copper.Saw a black one late afternoon today waiting to turn right onto Whittier Blvd. from Mar Vista—or was it Penn? I don't know, I was being dazzled by the fresh-from-the-car-wash Rapid Blue 'Vette on my left and only saw the Stinger to my right briefly. Plus I was recovering from having my eyes dilated. I'm pretty sure it's one I've seen in that same area before.
BTW, I saw a survey the other day that said the least colorful cars in the U.S. are right here in California. 30% are white and 53% are gray/silver/black. I guess that's why I never see any red/orange/yellow/blue Stingers.![]()
I think the article said that the national average for "colorful" cars is over 20%. Around here, since I rarely see an exotic, most of the rare bright spots are Camaros, 'Vettes, and the Dodge boys. Actually, I was almost ready to buy one of the first red Stingers to hit the dealership in 2017, but they'd tacked on a $10,000 markup and, in any case, wouldn't sell it off the showroom floor until the next shipment came in, which was when I bought my white one—with no markup. (Plus I remembered getting pulled over more than once in my red Mustang, and all the trouble I had with that paint.)Salt Lake Valley, the same. When did you buy your Stinger? I bought mine in late March, 2018. The guy that made up my paperwork said that the prices in Cali were insane: he knew of one sale for $20K MORE than MSRP: when I asked why that is possible, he shrugged and said something like, "Down there a lot of people have money to burn and want the next new thing to show off in."I think the article said that the national average for "colorful" cars is over 20%.
