It’s not!!! The other one had personalized White Sox plates…
That's ridiculously unlikely. I have seen exactly ONE Fed Orange, for less than two seconds as I flashed through an intersection. I have, on the other hand, seen Sunset Yellow several times, different vehicles (I think), and there were never more than 400 of them in the whole US. There have to be more than a thousand Fed Orange vehicles out there; counting the GTS and then the following year the Fed Orange GT2.

I think it was 800 GTS's in the US. 400 AWD and 400 RWD and the incremental Fed Orange GT2's in 2020.

This evening I saw three Stingers within an hour (only happened once before): a White eastbound on 7800 South at c. 3200 West; then in quick succession I got a '22/23 leaving the parking lot outside of these two restaurants in Jordan Landing; then this one visiting the people at 7977 South 4000 West (I pulled off into the driveway of a parking lot and zoomed in max): interestingly, both Ceramic Silvers have temporary paper plates (new purchases): the one in the driveway has aftermarket exhaust tips.

Saw a black one late afternoon today waiting to turn right onto Whittier Blvd. from Mar Vista—or was it Penn? I don't know, I was being dazzled by the fresh-from-the-car-wash Rapid Blue 'Vette on my left and only saw the Stinger to my right briefly. Plus I was recovering from having my eyes dilated. I'm pretty sure it's one I've seen in that same area before.

BTW, I saw a survey the other day that said the least colorful cars in the U.S. are right here in California. 30% are white and 53% are gray/silver/black. I guess that's why I never see any red/orange/yellow/blue Stingers.

This GT-line ceramic silver caught my eye as I was walking in to our local Sams club on Tuesday. This is the 2nd pic I've snapped of a Stinger sitting in a handicap spot.

Salt Lake Valley, the same. In fact, just this week my wife and I were counting the "steel river" of opposing traffic to notice the non monochromatic vehicles, and it was less than one in five, the rest being black, white or silvery-steely hues: and the only color in the less than 20% was red for the first half dozen, then we finally saw a bluish somethingorother: this all started when she said, "I don't like that color", and the SUV was copper. :D

I think the article said that the national average for "colorful" cars is over 20%. Around here, since I rarely see an exotic, most of the rare bright spots are Camaros, 'Vettes, and the Dodge boys. Actually, I was almost ready to buy one of the first red Stingers to hit the dealership in 2017, but they'd tacked on a $10,000 markup and, in any case, wouldn't sell it off the showroom floor until the next shipment came in, which was when I bought my white one—with no markup. (Plus I remembered getting pulled over more than once in my red Mustang, and all the trouble I had with that paint.)

When did you buy your Stinger? I bought mine in late March, 2018. The guy that made up my paperwork said that the prices in Cali were insane: he knew of one sale for $20K MORE than MSRP: when I asked why that is possible, he shrugged and said something like, "Down there a lot of people have money to burn and want the next new thing to show off in."

I bought in December 2017, when they were definitely a novelty.

I wasn't in a position to wait until more shipments came in. I never saw more than a $10,000 markup at any 5 dealerships I was haunting for the previous months, and I have heard most of them backed down when it came to an actual buyer. When one called and said a white GT2 had come in that morning, I'd already had all my belongings cleared out of my 20-year-old Grand Prix for month so I could act quickly. I said "You already now I'm not paying extra," and he immediately agreed. I drove it home that night. I can't say I got a bargain, but they treated me well, even installing on that same day the extras I wanted that they had ordered for the manager's Stinger. I can't complain.

Since most of my friends are elderly academics who drive geriatric Toyotas and Hondas, I wouldn't know about those folks who have money to burn to hop on the trends. But really, Merlin, you don't believe everything you're told about Californians, do you?

OK, so I left to pick up groceries today and within 2 blocks of the house saw two red pickups, and 4 colorful cars. So the universe is, once again, trying to prove me wrong. (But no Stingers out this morning except mine.)

Finally! A bright Stinger sighting! Today at the corner of Whittier and Colima (where I've had maybe half a dozen sightings) I saw an orange one. Judging from the many stickers in the rear window and the blats and rumble when it pulled away from the light, obviously heavily modded.
