I just picked up my new Stinger GT from a Kia dealer today. The car is under lease for my work, with the price ($64,800 drive away with bimodal exhaust) negotiated via a broker. I specifically told the broker and dealer that the car needed to be MY19 so it would include the updates (better tyres, new screen etc.) but when I picked up the car it still had the older Continental tyres on. When I asked the dealer he said the
Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres are $500 extra. He even showed me a pricing list that did show them as an option. I've just driven the car home, 250kms from the dealer, to discover it also doesn't have the interior mood lighting promised on the MY19 brochure. I can live without the mood lighting but I'm wondering what else was left out. The first letter of the
VIN is K (MY19) and manufacture date stamp is June 2018. Any ideas what is going on? The car is awesome otherwise, I just don't like the idea of getting ripped off and I have been waiting for a MY19 model since June.
