Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

Water only is doable but need a really small nozzle like a single BM5. Benefit is less but still better than nothing. In some states -20F and below washer fluid has some methanol so that is a good option also.

Yes I think so, we'd want to evaluate it though as not many run straight water so don't have a lot of Stinger data on it.

Sounds good. I hope to have a Stinger in a little while (waiting for 2020 MY info), then I might volunteer to help test..

BMS intake denso plugs @ 0.025 and 91 octane shell.

How to launch on boost

by removing the pedal sensor connector I was able to launch the car with boost and do a proper burnout. This was just to test what happens if the ECU was not aware if the brake pedal sensor was disconnected. There are two wires in the ECU that are related to the brake (attached diagram) I am pretty confident its wire number 83 that will do the trick. Would it be possible to route that wire to the JB4 so that we can control turning it on/off from the phone app whenever needed, you can add a safety feature Ex. after certain speed it will turn back on, or after a certain amount of time like 30second incase somebody forgets to re-activate it etc.
I'm not sure that would work because you'd probably need to completely cut off the signal of the wire in question, which would require the wire be cut as I don't think modifying the signal of the wire would be enough (hopefully I'm wrong).

Would be great if someone bought both ends of the brake connector and wired a switch in between. Completely plug and play, no wire splicing needed

I actually tried to do this on my Genesis Coupe back in the day for the same reason. It wouldn't let you build boost on brake, but, just like here it was found that you could tighten the hand e-brake and accomplish boost under e-braking. The dealership was uncommonly cool and let me poke around in their electronics parts bin. I was able to find half of what I needed but stopped the project once the e-brake proved fairly easy to work.

Yeah, thats why i said route the wire not tap the wire, it will need to be cut and go through the JB4. Anyways pointless to discuss as terry doesnt seem to be interested.

Thats interesting. How did you tighten the ebrake?

You took the bottom out of the center console and there was an adjustment nut for the e-brake cable. By turning the nut, you could adjust out the "slack" or engagement point to your liking. Obviously, too tight and the brake would drag. I'm not sure that this could be done as simply on our cars with the electronic e-brake vs. the lever e-brake in the Genesis Coupe. However, it makes sense that there would still be an adjustment for the ebrake (to tighten) on the Stinger.

Definitely interested on knowing if this could be an option to over come the slow LC issue with these cars.

I would say it could be used as an alternative to LC but not to improve it.
If you are unplugging the brake pedal the car won't get the signal it requires to even engage LC.

I've been meaning to look in to this but haven't been able to as our test car is still in Arizona, should be back in a couple weeks though and I'll evaluate the safety/plausibility for this.

Boost will vary a bit based on conditions, intake temps, time under load, etc, etc.
