• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

I did it, I disconnected the Bimodal fuse......
OMG!! it's loud alright, son and I went for a drive windows down, then up put her into different modes and yes still loud.
A lot of reverberation under my seat and through the steering wheel.IMG_2840.webp
Might be too grating on one's ears if it was constant but certainly makes a difference.

Iv'e plugged it back in. As soon as my foot was on the accelerator the noise inside the cabin was pretty intense.
Hubby listened as I drove up our court and back, he commented everything seemed louder, including the fan at the front and said " it sounds like it wants to take off ". He shakes his head smiling and commented " you really are turning into a rev head " when I came into the Court, the new neighbours at the top that were gardening, both turned around and watched me go past, so it must have sounded loud :D:laugh:

Should have gunned it!

Then the neighbours would think I'm a Rev Head and a Hoon :D
They do anyway, as soon as Sonic appeared on the scene they knew. Just complement the exhaust with some super loud 15 speaker Hardon Kardon action.

Blaring music like " born to be wild " or " bad to the bone ", windows down and wearing my Stinger cap ? do you think I'd be giving Stinger owners a bad name?:rofl:

Yes, so when we have that Great Ocean Rd Drive day, keep the music down, keep the windows up, not sure about the Stinger cap, and keep in convoy formation, no hoony moves or speeding or overtaking, like some of our NSW cousins young guns did once..:):rofl:

Yep sure do but I think you'd be taking inspiration from Bon jovi.:laugh::laugh:.

I have mine in custom with everything in sport except suspension which I put in comfort.
Nass, I forgot about Custom, so did it today and put it like yours, I'll keep it that way now. Best thing out, suspension feels better in comfort, not so stiff and you get all the jollies of being in sport mode. Rev heads dream really :D

Going to work this morning.Pulling up next to me at the lights was an Orange Holden Ute plates " Lowss8 " needless to say, he starts revving his engine a bit.Green light, we both go, I'm in front by at least a good nose until we hit the 80 km sign, I stay at 80 and he floors it, I wasn't going to speed so watched him go.
He spotted another Orange holden Ute and went chasing after it, oh well! Boys will be Boys !

OMG!! I want to kill someone, preferably the bloke in the white Ute going past in the opposite direction that threw a large stone and hit my Bonnet.( I know technically it wasn't his fault ) Suppose it was going to happen sooner or later.
Dent in bonnet and scuff mark on PPF.
Took it to 'Dent ' guys, it's booked in on the 20/12 to get the dent taken out- cost $99
He advised at least the PPF did the job or I'd have a big chip right there now.
Rang and spoke to Bon Vivant who did my paint protection.Asked if it was worth replacing PPF and sent him the pics.
Answer- to replace it would cost $700 and that's not charging labour for getting original off , he doesn't think it is justified.
He advised I may get more stones thrown up in the future and although a blemish is annoying because he knows she's my pride and joy he said I'd be better " living with the blemish " but he would replace if I really wanted to.
We will wait until dent out, it may look better then.

Sorry to hear @Flameangel , Sonic has been damaged , it sucks that our cars always get damaged by other people, I would feel the same way, and so angry.. , hope once the dent is out, it can be touched up.

Also sorry to learn about this but it's a hazard of driving. The dent will be relatively easy to get out (about 10 minutes work). I through you had "self healing" PPF so it should hopefully look better afer a bit of heat.
