• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Australia-Specific Kia Stinger Discussion

Took Sonic to Aus Dent today. It took an hour, dent out and looks good but still scuff mark on ppf. It's something I will just live with.
An hour, did you observe the procedure?

At least the actual paint and bonnet are like new again. Thought the ppf was self healing or something like that.
It is but the stone was large and must have not been smooth, hit with force so left an abrasion and scuff mark. Not paying $700 to replace a small spot on the ppf, if I ever got more then it would be justified to pay that amount to replace.

No, I didn't hang around as the it was 37c a the time heading to 44c and they didn't have any where to sit so hubby picked me up and we got lunch for ourselves and the kids. They wanted to knock off early due to the heat. They did a really good job, looks as good as new under the ppf.

That's a lot of money to replace a piece of thick glad wrap. The way I look at it, the ppf is to prevent getting the car damaged so minor marks are going to happen but at least the metal underneath is untouched...generally. In this case obviously the rock was large enough to dent the bonnet.

I suppose we all see different things when we get "Stoned"
Ooo, sounds like you're getting bolder,I prefer to stay stone cold sober but definitely don't let a Geologist drive your car because they get both hammered and stoned.

Not to worry it's only a Miner problem.

Flame , PPF is self healing with heat , I know its crazy hot there I dont think that will do it , but a hair dyer on the spot or delicate use of a heat gun should clear the scuff on the film ................
