Hello everyone. This is David Chung @ LAP3 USA. We at PROSS - LAP3 have invested an incredible amount of time and resources into making this new product for you. Today I would like to introduce a new product in our line-up; the LAP3 Pro-Tuner, that will revolutionize the sub ECU tuning solution for the Stinger platform. LAP3 Pro-Tuner comes with many features to fine tune your vehicle, which simple boost chips can not offer. You no longer have to rely on making more HP solely on maximizing the boost pressure, thus reliability is going to be one of the biggest key points of this new product. It will be available for the newer Hyundai/Kia gasoline turbocharged vehicles. We will set up dealers in the U.S. as well. More details to come. Stay tuned!

LAP3 Pro-Tuner - Dynamic ECU Tuning Solution

Here's a few features of the LAP3 Pro-Tuner that most boost chips on the market can not do.

- Boost Adjustability: Unlike most boost chips on the Stinger market, it doesn't just fool the sensor & voltage to increase boost. LAP3 Pro-Tuner can custom tune the boost pressure per RPM based on the engine load.

- Fueling: After carefully analyzing the fuel rail sensor values, rail pressure can be customized and re-mapped per RPM & engine load.

- Ignition Timing Tuning - Based on the crank angle sensor values and the boost pressure/rpm, Ignition Timing can be mapped for the most optimal performance setup.

- Top Speed Governor Removal: Many Stinger owners have been asking us about it, and the LAP3 Pro-Tuner will allow you to unlock the speed limiter.

- PROSS - LAP3 app to provide more dynamic performance experience. You will be able to change your Maps through the app (Stock, Stage1, Stage 2, Stage3). You can also monitor Live data for your engine condition as well.

- DTC Code Canceler - The owner can select specific DTC codes and remove them automatically.

- Meth Injection System Support (Future Upgrade) - We are working on a meth Injection system to interlock with our phone application. Custom tune ignition timing based on the engine load received from the can, when paired with the Methanol Injection system via PWM controller system.

is this a full ecu tune or still considered a piggyback, thereby rendering the use of this as not detectable by manufacturer? @LAP3 Tuning

LAP3 Pro-Tuner is our new piggyback tuning solution, thus it is not detectable.

We also have ECU Tune & TCU Tune to pair with, but we will not be releasing them until we get OBD encryption. We are working on that part as we speak.
 
I'm interested in this tuner. How much it will cost in USD ?

It's been released in Korea. We are making a batch for the U.S. models right now. If the production doesn't get delayed, we should have them available for sale sometime next month.

So where do Australian RHD Stingers fit in?

Near 100whp over baseline! The result is absolutely fantastic for a bone stock vehicle and the current weather condition.

I'm sure you have seen us using dual chips, and we didn't release them in the U.S. due to the fact that we have been working on a much better solution. We have a lot of projects working for the newer Hyundai & Kia platforms, so stay tuned!

I believe it was about 1.3bar-1.4bar peak(18-19psi), and tapered down to 1bar(14-15psi). We are working on making different stages.

This Pro-Tuner is intriguing and curious how it will compare to other piggyback systems. I like all the extra features and think this version may make it to the top of my list depending on performance results.:thumbup:
Also, can I assume like all the other tunes re-gapped(24-26) or upgraded plugs will be required for our Stingers?

This is very impressive and just a few more questions. These results are only with the Pro-Tuner piggyback without any other upgrades like intake filters removed, exhaust, etc. correct?

If the Stinger already had an extra 20-30HP from intake & exhaust would the chip take those upgrades into account and increase your results by similar numbers? Like 445WHP & 480TQ?

I see your TQ curve starts & peaks 500-1500 RPM later than stock. So this setup will sacrifice a little low end TQ in exchange for more top end HP, correct? Any chance your software has the option to start the TQ curve earlier, if peak HP was less of a priority? For example, could Stage 1 be your setting but Stage 1.5/2 be customized for earlier TQ curve but less top end HP?

Lastly, your stock baseline results state 330WHP & 376TQ. The 330WHP seems inline with 10% driveline loss, but wouldnt 376TQ(@Wheels) put the stock TQ(engine or crank) over 400? Are any portions of your dyno results being calculated with conversions, or is 376 a direct measure of wheel torque?

The result is from LAP3 Pro-Tuner only. As you can see, the intakes on the vehicle are stock. The exhaust system is also stock. It is a Bone Stock vehicle. You can definitely expect to see more with bolt-ons. Hyundai & Kia are a bit vague about their torque number: "376 @ 1,300-4,500RPM," so they may have downplayed the torque number. It makes sense for them to safely say that 376tq is being made around 4500RPM and possibly more in earlier RPM. In that regard, ~355ft-lbs(49kgm) @ 4400rpm on our dyno result is quite accurate. Though I see competitor's baseline dyno results showing over 400ft-lbs, it may be due to bolt-ons or their dyno may be reading a bit high. Our baseline however was done on a bone stock vehicle without a single bolt-on.
