A little back and forth also livens the forum up, but there are limits. We're not going to jump in to every one of their threads and post JB4 dynos and marketing, nor would the forum moderators allow that.

Worth noting BMS has been around since 2007 and we've never tried to be all things to all people. We do things a certain way. Myself and our 10 employees are active on forums and social media sites. We try to help customers and enthusiasts whenever possible. And we enjoy a good vendor flame war every now and again as long as it's all in good fun.

We've tuned tens of thousands of cars over the years around the world, most of them with much higher price tags than the Stinger, so I think we have a winning business model. That said someone has to keep all these other jokers in business so no hard feelings if someone wants to go another route. :)

Love the Candor and there's nothing wrong with standing up for your product, as long as things stay factual and doesn't stray too far into the realm of unproductive personal attacks....

Since you brought your experience and it's been asked around, can you comment on some simple pros and cons of the jb4 vs ecu tunning? So far I undrestand the price, easy of install and avoiding modification of factory ecu. However, what are the drawbacks of a piggyback like the jb4 vs altering maps directly on the ecu itself?

I believe the new lap 3 pro is over 1000 dollars....for that price you can get an actual tune man ...
Except that an actual tune would void the warranty, right?

There is another general thread on the subject so I just posted a short reply there. Reviewing the forum rules now that LAP3 has signed up as a vendor I'm no longer allowed to post here, so if anyone has any further questions for me, just ask in one of our threads! :)

A Piggyback will void it as well. The ECU is just as removable as a Piggyback. It just costs more to buy a spare one.

Is it worth the risk of losing the warranty for the extra ~80hp?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
You gotta pay to play, if you can’t afford to build the motor due to some random problem..... then don’t mod it.

For the record, and I want to be very clear here for future reference - discussions are not retroactive. That's not how forums work. I'm certainly not going to have a 500 page thread combed for posts to be removed after somebody decides to sign up as a vendor after the fact. Once a member becomes an Authorized Vendor, any new topics they create relating to their business, products or services are considered to be PAID ADVERTISEMENTS. This specific discussion was not a paid advertisement.

I hope this is very clear - because I don't want to be inundated with requests from various members who decide to become Authorized Vendors later...

Ah OK, got it! Thanks for the clarification.
