The 2022 Stinger arrived!!!!!! I’ll attach a link to my video of it. Hope you all enjoy!!!!!2022 Stinger Demo
is the 2.5 meister trim coming to the USA?I just posted a more in depth video, here’s a link if your interested!
I think Kia is afraid everyone who bought a 2021 Stinger is going to be really mad. My dealership just got in two brand new 2021 Stingers today. Those are going to be really tough to sell when 2022 models are sitting next to them.
I have never seen a manufacturer bring out a new version of a car before without even mentioning it on their news site. This is incredibly unusual.
Does anyone have any in person pics of the new green colour yet?
It's sensual.Does anyone have any in person pics of the new green colour yet?
I literally cannot wait until 2023, which is the year I'm going to get another Stinger, hopefully.I just posted a more in depth video, here’s a link if your interested!
Wow I thought that was blue. That’s the new green? I was hoping more for a hunter green colour.Post #53 in this thread.
Was definitely hoping to get the new GT1 but not sure the 2022 version is any better than 2021. I think if the 2021 had the bigger screen, I would go that route. Guess it just depends on the deals they may have.
Yea really look like a mix of grey, blue and green depending on lights from the pictures and video. Also seem to look flat / Matte from some angle but in fact it as metal flakes in it... intriguing colorWow I thought that was blue. That’s the new green? I was hoping more for a hunter green colour.
That said, I upgraded the base 9 speaker's tweeters (little harsh at high volumes) and now thoroughly enjoy the sound profile. Really good stock stereo with a $100 / ~1 hour investment. Comparable to the Bose system in my prior vehicle.
Swapping front door tweeters (component speaker)What tweeters did you get for the upgrade/replacement?
Welcome to the forum. That was a good first post.I was having a really hard time debating between the 2021 GT-line or GT1 options... GT1 was a bit over what I wanted to spend on essentially a daily driver, 15 minute commute, and occasional weekend getaway car for me, but the GT-line was missing a bit too much - non-LED headlights, a bit too much of a HP gap to the 3.3L engine, non-ventilated seats, etc.
But it looks like the new 2022 GT-line will bridge the gap a significant amount. Now LED headlights + a higher output engine... if it comes with optional ventilated and power passenger seats, AND the lease-buyout deals still stay in effect for 2022 models, I think that's the way I'm going for sure.
Also if it came w/ a manual option too, that would make it literally the perfect car for me. But I understand, manuals don't sell at all, and the Stinger needs all the help it can get selling. Also haven't heard the best things about the G70 manual and I'd assume if they made a manual Stinger, it would be pretty similar to the G70's implementation.
-edit- boo looks like the March 2021 lease buyout deals are worse than the February 2021 ones for the 2021 model year cars.
Thanks!Welcome to the forum. That was a good first post.![]()
Liam - Thanks for all of this awesome info and the video you posted. Could you find out if the 2.5L model comes with or without the fake hood vents? The KDM version has them without... curious if that is the USDM version as well.Hey guys I’m a salesman at Car Pros Kia HB and a stinger driver/enthusiast too. The new 2022 models are coming out way earlier than I expected..... next month March 2021!!! The first model we’re getting is coming in the 6th, the newly colored ascot green GT2. I’ll attach the window sticker so you can see the exact specs. From what I can see now, they’re probably killing the 2.0 GT-line and the bast GT model. The new lineup will be the 2.5 GT-Line and the 3.3 GT1 and GT2. Some of the main new features are going to be the bigger main screen, a full led tail light, 9 more HP due to the new variable exhaust (I think it’s a physically controlled exhaust, not the speaker sound one but a real ass exhaust that you can open and close to increase sound), quilted seats, a CARBON FIBER EXTERIOR PACKAGE, three rim options, new headlights, more LED lights in the cabin, and a electronically controlled suspension. The MSRP for the GT1 and 2 are going to be about 3,000$ more than the 2021 models but for what you get it seems worth it. I’ll update with a video when the first one comes but feel free to ask about anything stinger related here!!! I’m happy to give you any info you want![]()
You found a 2022 before I posted the video? I don’t mean to fight for titles on the first video lol I’m just surprised, what color combo/trim did you get? Do you have a link so I can see your video? I’m new to all this and just want to provide info to members here and on YouTube, I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes by acting like I found things first.I got ya beat on that one.![]()
