Liam - Thanks for all of this awesome info and the video you posted. Could you find out if the 2.5L model comes with or without the fake hood vents? The KDM version has them without... curious if that is the USDM version as well.
I assume without but at the dealer we have no update as to when we will get them, and at that point I’ll have to wait to see it in person to find out since it won’t be listed on the window sticker. I’ll let you know as soon as I find out!
I really want a 2022...but it'll be interesting to see what happens to the prices on the 2021s (or even 2020s!) still sitting on lots. Might make my choice a whole lot harder.
Actually you’ll have to act soon to get one, I’m at a smaller Kia dealer so what I know might be limited but we can’t order any more 2020s now and there will probably be a cutoff for the 2021’s soon. It looks like they’re limiting the 2022’s to help dealers get rid of the older years but we just have to see! From my dealer since the 2021’s are still fresh and only a few are here, I wouldn’t expect any blowout sales for them.
I think Kia is afraid everyone who bought a 2021 Stinger is going to be really mad. My dealership just got in two brand new 2021 Stingers today. Those are going to be really tough to sell when 2022 models are sitting next to them.
I have never seen a manufacturer bring out a new version of a car before without even mentioning it on their news site. This is incredibly unusual.
Ah, I didn't know about the different parts numbers between the two sound systems. Your experience would indicate a difference between sound quality, perhaps; but not certainly; that would be more a subjective thing. That's why I said that given what I've learned up to now, if I were shopping Stingers, I'd definitely spend time with each sound system to see if I had to have a Harman Kardon.
Being in my 2020 GT-line with premium package and the 2022 GT2, I didn’t notice much difference between the two. Same placement of visible speakers and a little difference in sound, the 2022 being a bit louder but that might be in account to me using Apple CarPlay in my car and Bluetooth in the 2022

Really to benefit from HK system you need to have high quality sources. Compare base system vs HK using HD sources like Amazon HD music and you will see the different. Compare the two systems using compressed MP3, radio station etc, you might notice differences but it will probably not be night and day.
Can't post the link, but there's a listing up for a blue GT2 at Car Pros Renton. Really digging the new wheels with that color. I'm also really happy they went with the chain stitching for the seats here, diamond is nice, but feels too old school classy for me.

I like the new air bag logo too, might have to buy one of those when they become available. I’ll just sell my original one on eBay, sure someone will scoop it up.
