Sorry to hear that guys. Hope i have no issues.
Now that you have owned your car for a few days or more, have you noticed any quality issues?
Take the poll and elaborate on your findings, with pics if you can!
My GT2 AWD is in the dealership for a replacement of the rear hatch glass. Went to get into the car a week ago, in the morning, and found the glass cracked / shattered like a spiders web. It was 31 and sunny out so it was a big surprise. It wasn't vandalism. Similar incidents have happened with various cars but with the skylight glass. Bottom line.....if it never happens again, after replacement , then I'm OK with that but any other scenario would not be acceptable. Its a totally new design car so you have to expect bugs, to a point. The repairs are of course covered under warranty. i have received calls from the factory and dealer, updating me on the status of the car. I should have the car back in the next couple of days.
This is why I have a clear tint on my sunroof glass--I'm hoping it will hold it together in a case like this (or in a T-bone), and prevent it from covering my interior--or me--with glass.I feel ya. My 2016 Mazda 6 had the sunroof glass explode for no reason as well. I was at work and a coworker noticed it. Luckily I had the shade drawn and most of the glass didn't fall into the car.

I tried the console shake in my stinger and it hardly moved, much less than the video. I them tried it in my mecedes GLA 45 and it moved and sqweeked more. Some interior bits are nicer im the merc and some in the kia. Overall he Kia feels a bit nicer to me.Just curious if anyone has done this to a console on equivalent Audi's, Bimmers, Mercs, etc.? Can't say I have, but then again I never thought to do that to a center console.
I haven't found anything wrong with my Stinger GT Limited. Hey, I noticed some of you are saying you have 2018 Limited Stingers in your signatures, but your cars aren't Sunset Yellow...
No, we don't have yellow up in Canada. What we do have is the GT Limited model, which surpasses the GT2 in features. I'll take the extra features over colour (though I'd love to see the Chroma Blue come here). 360 cam is damn nice and useful!
In terms of initial quality, I do have a couple of beefs.
1. The audio is messed up. Many people have reported that the audio will move to the rear speakers for no apparent reason. I've also noticed some weird audio distortions when playing back music through Apple Carplay.
2. Dirt always finds a way into my door and trunk sills. It's like those areas are not properly sealed from the elements, so anytime there's rain or whatever, dirt, grime, and mud just accumulate. Annoying having to wipe off so frequently.
3. Not a big beef but I've noticed that my seat will not revert to my driver setting sometimes when I start the engine. I'd have to manually press the 1 button to get it to move.
Hit the dealer today. Thankfully they also noticed the vibration and decided to Road Force balance the tires. And the results were terrible. They adjusted the fronts and got them down to 3 and 8 pounds respectively, but couldn't get the rears below 28 and 31. They said their limit is 20, and smaller vehicles and luxury brands (BMW for example) have even lower tolerances. The fact that they couldn't get them below even 28 means they have two new tires on order.Mine exhibits a minor version of "wind buffeting" in the interior cabin even when no windows are down - at least at highway speeds.
I notice it with my ears first - as a sort of pressure buffeting similar to wind buffeting. It is accompanied by a very slight vibration in other parts of the car, but I'm not 100% sure if its the vibrations leading to the buffeting, or the buffeting contributing to the vibrations. I've seen plenty of Tesla forum posts where their loose hatch would cause such a thing on rough surfaces.
Checking tire PSI tonight, and then it's going in to the dealer for balancing/alignment/tire checks.
the infamous hatch rattle is fixed in Australia under warranty and automatically done whether you a have an issue or not. Mine was done at its 3000k service. Mine didn't have a rattle and after 6 months not a squeak, smooth as silk. We have the RWD model only.I'm considering the car, but saw 1 review that complained about squeaks, rattles and road noise. This concerns me because it gets worse with age and miles. I'll be interested to hear if the tires help or if other noises have solutions.
