Sounds like Christmas all over again, im hoping Santa delivers at XMAS. How ever I've been told due to US and Europeans getting first dibs i might have a delay. Sleep well.

Update my dealer tells me of the GT's he's ordered to date over 50% are in Red, followed by white then an even share for the other colours. ps. Still crying over the $$. pss .Also I believe orders taken today wont be delivered until next year, Feb/March.

Well, as my dealer told e last week, that they are taking orders but kia have told that there are only 2 per dealer per month.. so Feb/Mar might be too soon unless your dealer hasn't taken any new orders or that many.

Is NE1 100% getting the GT? If os so I like to know how many and which states.
Maybe, Start a Stinger Club in each State for starters.
I don't care about the Badge, I just know it kicks arse in performance compared to other GERMAN cars. So I am going to do my damn best to get one. LOL

Hi all, yesterday I mentioned that I was going to talk to KIA Asutralia Re - NOT SUPLLYING INFO to Insurance Companies...so I can get an Estimate for FULL Comp Insurance.
I rang 4 companies including SHANNONS. None of them have heard of KIA STINGER...
Then I rang another company and the lady asked me what car, I said Kia.
Hmmmm..., paused and asked was it a Kia Stinger GT..
I was amazed, she replied and said the only reason I know cos my hubby is dying to get one! ok.
So I rang Kia Aust.
Basically I asked them when they would pass on to the Insurance companies about their new KIA STINGER specs and so on...
They said, we don't do that, it is up to the Insurance companies to contact us, considering not all Insurance companies will insure this PERFORMANCE CAR!
I said seriously, do you expect me to buy a car, however it maybe, including Finance (where in some cases it must be insured before drive away) without FULL COMP!
None of the Insurance companies know about your NEW KIA STINGER!

They replied... wait for it... THAT'S NOT OUR PROBLEM!

So I told them that I will be contacting the various media who have published articles in regards to the delivery date, pricing and not being able to provide Insurance companies details.

BTW: They also said that the pricing was not OFFICIAL/CONFIRMED because it is not on the website as advertised/sale price,
Delivery date is also not certain and not OCT 1st as mentioned in articles.

So I contacted a couple of Media Publishers and told them , wow, they were surprised that no one can offer/quote for Insurance and surprised that there's no car in the showrooms from OCT 1st.

I also mentioned to one of them when they responded to check out this forum, to give a true indication of what Kia STINGER GT is all about to all enthusiasts in every aspect.

I will get an answer on Monday/Tuesday from him.

Has ne1 here tried to get a quote for Insurance for the GT? If someone has let me know1
Hoping you don't want to spend and buy the car only to find driving away with CTP and not FULL COMP and some idiot or with excitement hit/crash and NO INSURANCE!

I am in Brisbane .I was told that only 1 per dealer (20) in queensland at the moment was going to be available. price 59990 + 3073 gov & ctp chargers+ dealer 1990 total $65053 no extras

100%. Only one and in Vic.

All the insurance companies seem to share the same data base so I’d say all will be updated at the same time.

I'm in NW Tasmania and my dealer has 2 GT ordered and stated they both should be arriving in early October.

Sorry bit of a "cat amongst the pigeons" post here...
I read this on a FB post recently (so take this with a grain of salt, please) that an Adelaide prospective buyer had a dealer offer of $61500 driveway on a GT, with no options (i.e. paint +$560/exhaust +$2000).
Maybe delivery was 2018 though? True? mmmm?

Just got an email from my dealer with all the info my stinger. It arrives in port today but not sure what port. ETA to my dealer is the 17 Oct. The info gives me all the car numbers including the a finish completion date of the 23/08/17. The interior colour states black but is wrong it should be red so the dealer recheck and hopefully it is a type o only

Madman I believe you ordered your stinger in May. I ordered mine in March so yours should be on the same boat mate. Another person at my dealer ordered a GT around June and that stinger is still not on the production line and won’t be here until early 2018. I know this because the info about that order was attached to the email I received today. Not sure if they ment to delete that info before they passed the official kia email to be me. So by the sound of this email if you ordered a stinger after June it won’t be here until the first quarter of 2018.

That seems odd given Holden make one white, then one red, then etc etc. Also that the current ones are for Europe and the US markets.

Yes I was told the same thing, that colours were made in batches one colour per day in the factory. Not happy about this delay though.

Its kind of weird because until I toured the Holden plant in Adelaide recently (brilliant facility - such a pity we're losing those skills) I assumed that's the way its done - nope, the spray guns just change colours...just like a post mix dispenser at a club. Was pretty impressive!
