You guessed it madman I just walked into the closet Kia Dealer and put down a deposit on a car the dealer had never heard of and to be honest if I wanted any info on the stinger I got it from this forum and the net and not the Kia Dealer.
I look forward to more stories! So, registered my interest with Kia on the Stinger page in early April, nothing. Re-register with 2 dealers (one in NSW & one in Vic). Wait 2 weeks expecting a call, lots more nothing......finally walk into the dealer in Vic early May. Stand in middle of showroom floor for 15 minutes, chick at reception ignores me, guy in white shirt and Kia vest (yes, a vest!!!) walks within 5 feet of me at least twice but doesnt even acknowledge me. I walk out pi$$ed off.
Week later (after looking at everything I can find on the interweb) I really really want the car. Go back to the same (convenience) dealer - sales guy (SG) asks....
SG: Can I help you?
Me: I'd like a test drive please.
SG: Of what?
Me: Stinger.
SG: .......errr, not possible...don't have one.
..........long pause........
SG: I've only sold one.
Me: No, you've sold 2.
..........long pause........
Me: <<<<pulls credit card out of wallet>>>>
SG: Lets go into my office! I'm the sales manager btw.
Me: Better than last time I was here, sales guy ignored me.
SG: Really, who was that?
Me: You.
...........long pause.......
Deal done. Sales guy turns out to be pretty good dude.
......LONG LONG PAUSE.....
Me: <<<<waiting for the car>>>>
For me it'd be a bit like super superfast broadband.....I'd burn through my allocation of licence points faster....Nice vid, all positive feedback. Hope they don't bring a more powerful model out though. Want to bathe in some 3.3 273kw for awhile before being up staged lol!
I know it worked this way for me and I thought it did for most people - but whenever I've tuned cars in the past, I got better gas mileage. Now if you're going as far as upgrading the fuel system that's a different story. But I don't see Kia really doing that with anything but an all-out AMG/M competitor - which is generations off...More power sounds nice on paper but I don't think I could stomach getting any worse mileage than the GT gets already.

Sure, when you're standing on the gas pedal you'll get worse gas mileage with a tune. But most of your driving should net better gas mileage...
Yes, when you're racing and need a little more power to overtake the other car, you push harder on the gas pedal, forcing it to inject more fuel into the engine.".....when you're standing on the gas pedal....." WAIT...There's another way to drive??? Do tell Sherlock!!!!![]()

Harman/Kardon®7 audio system pumps out 720 watts through an external amplifier to provide crystal-clear music. With 15 speakers and Kia’s first under-seat mounted subwoofers tucked beneath the driver and passenger seats, the system features Clari-Fi™8, a patented music restoration technology that rebuilds audio signals that are lost in the digital compression process. This technology returns a high-fidelity listening experience to any compressed digital source. The system also comes equipped with next-generation QuantumLogic™9 Surround Sound technology, which extracts signals from the original recording and redistributes them into an authentic, multidimensional soundstage for playback that is clear, refined and full of detail.Does anyone happen to know if the base sound system has a subwoofer and where it's located?
