Love that interior. Why couldn't genesis to a hatch and Kia the compact sedan.

You know the right thing to do ...The head says G70 but the heart says Stinger![]()
Yes, they sent me a 'pre-order' offer email this morning, stating the pre-order period had been extended into April, and it looks like the pricing is live on their website now. I'm sure it will be a great sedan for those in the market for that - I am a big fan of the powertrain ...For those cross shopping, here's what we've all been waiting for, G70 pricing... in Canada dollars.
definitely. full-featured Stinger for 3-4k less then the G70 is gonna be hard to beat.
Looks like someone just bought a red G70 in my appartment building.

Very good point! And thank goodness...Keep in mind that was the design language when Genesis models were still part of Hyundai.
Going forward, Genesis models will be getting either of these new grille shape, as well as the new light treatment.

Don't care for the shape/look of the grille on the GV80 concept, so hope they change it a bit.
The face-lifted G90 is already getting the new look.

Genesis designers are being lazy.

Yes, they share design elements too.Stinger and Optima have their similarities too mostly from sideview window shape, but not as close to G70vsHyundai. Maybe its just me.

Yes, they share design elements too.
But I never see an optima and get the feeling "is this a stinger?" or the opposite..
Maybe it is because my eye is trained to the Stinger design.![]()
That's weird. I wonder why they would use the Elantra/Sonata styling on the brand new G70 and then change it on the G90.
So now the 2019 G70 will have a different "signature look" than the 2019 G90? Then what, refresh the G70 next year? They're confusing the hell out of me. (Sorta like typing "G70" and "G90" is confusing my auto correct)
I also recently took a picture because I wanted to say the same thing.
At work there was the usual blue G70, and next to it, I saw what looked like another G70.
Looking closer, it was an i30.
Of course once you know it's an i30 you do not mistake the two, but at first glance that's the impression you get,
and if the G70 was not a flashy blue color and a same grey color, I assure you the resemblance would have been striking.
Once you get past the resemblance, it doesn't look bad at all, but it just doesn't stand out.
And unless you straight-pipe it, use chrome window tint and gold wheels, most people will not turn his head in the street and say "wow, what is this car?".
