What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

There are 2 screws, 1 is hidden up top above the inner tip and an absolute pain but I got to em lol

1 above the outside tip and 2 x 10mm bolts underneath each tip.

The sad part is the last time i painted them with normal gloss black spray paint, this time I went with heat resistant powercoating and it cost me $313 !!!

I'm not home but in the pic it looks rough and not that flash at all :notworthy:
I think they look fantastic!

Today is the day to replace the lower grille, which is cracked because of that "ravine" aka a gutter approach that I hit last month.

I drove until the oil temperature reached full operating, then went to the mechanic. He will put space heaters blowing on the front end to get the plastics all pliable - and I figured a warm engineroom will help in that regard.

edit, later - all went perfectly. My main worry was that the fastening points on the inside of the bumper cover might have been damaged. But when my mechanic got it off everything on the bumper cover was fine. He did say that the lower grille was even more busted up inside than what showed on the outside. Total expense was $190 to my door for the replacement grille and $160 for labor to install. Other than this stupid incident occurring in the first place, I am a happy camper today.

Been looking at those. Easy install?
Not bad. If you don't want to take the tires off, I recommend a ratchet screwdriver, otherwise the tires need to come off. But pretty straight forward other than that!

This little ninety degree screwdriver is what I used and kept my wheels on.

I wish I had the stones to attempt this myself

Bought mine, now I'm on this board figuring out what I need to do to make it last forever and look fantastic while doing so: 1000010241.webp

Congrats! Leave it stock or don't. Follow the manual service intervals for sure.

Enjoy! You will find out that this car is amazing. Most folks will change

the brakes, tires and suspension because they can. Otherwise, you are on a journey

that is different then most car owners especially if you mod it.

Thank you! My last big foray into the tuning world was a 2012 Subaru STi hatchback, this is my first time back after marriage and a toddler.

So first thing first, the basics: engine swap, MT swap, and AWD transplant

Don't drive it, keep it in the garage in one of those sealed bubbles and it'll last FOREVER! ;)

Question for ya, what's up with your headlights? Car looks like a gt1/gt2 but you have the base halogen lights?

First year '20 GT-Line adopted all of the outward design points of the GT trims, i.e., no more Base and Premium body or grille work. The headlights in '20 on the GT-Line were the Halogen, for some reason or no reason at all.

Yup, exactly this. Would love to get my hands on some LEDs to change out though, the halogens aren't great.

Fitted Vertinis... they are lighter, fit around the brembos and just look sexy... plus I got them for just $700 including tyres !

What did I do to my Stinger today? I DROVE IT. Yay.
We have had no snow for about 4 days, and all the streets are clear and dry. No salt on the roads.
It's been in the garage for a couple of weeks now, not having been started or moved.
It was still cold though. Minus 6c.
I took it easy at first. I've noticed that this car, especially the engine, does not like cold weather.
I drove around slowly in the neighbourhood, getting the oil up to operating temp.
Then had some fun after that. I got a few looks, as the car is pristine clean, while every other vehicle is covered in white dried salt.
I looked like a unicorn.
Anyway, it's back in the garage for a while now. I'll keep an eye on road conditions and hopefully do it again soon.
I can't wait for summer.
