Used Stinger GT Market Info

Seems like they start to really drop in value once they get past 40k miles. Don't thk I'd buy one with that many miles though.
the price is right over 40,000 miles. as long as everything else looks good. here are the current listings on ksl cars, one of the best ways to search for cars locally. I only did within 200 miles.

that second listing today is a pos though. I even did them a favor and told them that their car is filthy and has a busted top grille, and all I got was 'do you want it'? idiots.

ah, that 2018 gt1 is still up, and they dropped the price $500.

some of those 'offerings' are delusional. car sales people, think there are a lot of suckers out there. I dunno maybe there are.

How's the price on this:

2020
Blue
GT2
AWD
16k miles
$40,998

I'm thinking its a bit high, but it ticks all my boxes...

Thoughts?

*the system won't let me post a link because I'm new on here still, but it's on CarMax. Go there and search for: 24033370
Idk, seems high to me, I was at the dealership this morning and saw this. It's also high but it's newer with less miles. Price is decent on it for this market I think?

you always wonder why the first owner loses interest in the car so quickly.
Yeah, I never understand cars traded in so soon. I get that the owner maybe lost their job or had to move. Or maybe it wad a demo car. But otherwise it's crazy to me how many low mileage used cars you see.

The car I'm looking at was a one own lease vehicle, which accounts for the mileage/age.

low miles is one thing, quickly ditching the car something else. for instance, in that ksl cars list yesterday is a 2018 'gt limited' (gt2 spec in canada I presume) with only 6,200 miles. but I think that they are reaching for $38,500.

I owe an update here! @Sabs and @Redleg94. You were both right about being cautious on the initial stinger I had found at the chevy dealership in RI. For only 1.5k more I was able to find a single owner CPO 2019 GT2 ceramic silver with 31k miles coming off a lease down at a dealership in Maryland. The car was owned by an older gentleman who took great care of it and had it dealer serviced regularly. So by being a little patient, and by taking a flight down to Maryland (couple hundred bucks), I got the exact car I wanted, with the perfect spec, with a CPO Warranty. Price with CPO warranty before taxes was 38.5k. Not cheap, but easily worth the 1.5k over the other one (which already sold), and a price I was willing to pay for exactly what I wanted. Thanks to you both for the insight that landed me the right one!

So glad to hear you waited for the right one. Seems like it was very worth the extra money and time for a well cared for, one-owner CPO lease return that was just what you wanted.

Congratulations and enjoy! I have a very similar spec and still love mine just as much 3.5 years later.

April's update. We were seeing pretty steep declines in prices, but they leveled off over the last couple of months.

If I were to wager a guess, I think it's a combination of interest rates leveling off plus a seasonal price increase. "Fun" cars tend to go for more in the warmer months.

What about the car being discontinued? I wonder if that has anything to do with it?

having a car that increases in value over time is every owner's fantasy.

I have a 22 GT1, me and my wife were at the dealership picking up her Telluride. I asked the dealer what they would offer for my stinger, just for giggles since I don't plan on selling it anytime soon. Mind you, I just hit 10K miles on my car and it's still in almost perfect condition. I said if I parted my car out to stock, what would be their offer? ... $36K. I saw a used Stinger at the neighboring dealership, similar to mine GT1 build, selling for $46K with ~20K miles!

Now go see what Carvana would give you...

Just ran the numbers on Carvana off of my VIN , they are offering $38,919. Almost $3K more than the dealership.

Seems like prices might be going DOWN more! I'm still shopping and I'm finally seeing dealerships take $2,000-$4,000 off msrp on GT1/GT2's. Used prices seem to be sliding down a bit now too. Maybe I'll finally find a good deal...

June update.

Used 2018 Stinger GT2 - Full Option with a spare Winter Set and 72000mi/116000km with 2 Years of Warranty left for 27k CHF.

They usually go for 30k here with even a bit more mileage.
