What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Yup that looks good and shiny. Nice job!

Cleaned and conditioned my seats/all leather. Gets me every time how good looking the red leather is after a good conditioning.
I just use Mother's VLR. Mine are pretty clean so I'm hoping that just protects them I guess. What is your process?

I've heard great things about Mother's! I personally roll with Chemical Guys cleaner and conditioner and am very happy with the results. The light smell of the conditioner is nice, only lasts a few days, and seems to bring the original smell of the leather out.

My process is to vaccum with a brush head attachment to remove any dust/debris, clean with the spray cleaner (apply to micro fiber cloth, not directly on leather), pop out the few ventilated hole dust/debris specs, then condition (again, apply to micro fiber cloth then leather). I then do a very light wipe down of remaining conditioner from all surfaces. I use about 2 micro fiber towels per seat/door; 1 for cleaning, 1 for conditioning and mix in getting the remaining leather.

Nice job on the 1/4 wave resonators. What length did you end up using? I calculated about 34" a while back but wasn't sure what speed of sound to use.

Thanks. I believe I break it down in my post on the previous page, but we ended up with the pipe's overall length close to 36 inches. My drone was worse when the exhaust gases were warmer/hot so I did the calculation around 350F — 1395 ft/s for speed of sound. If the drone is around 120Hz, I think a 32" – 36" pipe would work overall, but depends on the temp of when the drone is the worst. Best to calculate it though for a more precise measurement.

Love the trunk capacity. Fits a 5 drawer chest. Some of the guys made bets it wouldn’t fit. I just stood back and laughed.

Had a meteorite-like chunk of rubber line drive the front of the car the other day. The PPF really did its job and took the hit. It dented the plastic a small amount that you can only see at certain angles.
From the noise it made I expected a hole in the plastic.

The best part is Signature Detailing replaced the panel as a courtesy. I truly can’t say enough great things about those guys.

As usual there were some cool cars in the shop.

... then I came home to find this waiting for me on the porch.
She’s starting to come together.
(edit: It’s really satisfying getting a package that’s not crushed and maimed these days)

RaceChip XLR and Eibach rear sway arrived today. The XLR was easy to install. Hopefully I can get the sway installed this weekend

I really like that cover, is that made by element 6? Is it real or fake carbon? Looks real in the photos.
Yeah, it’s a real molded piece and it’s not a carbon skinned plastic cover. The underside appears to be fiberglass. I think it’s made by Boostec. ImportShark gets them in from time to time. I waited a while until I saw they had one in stock.

The two covers in the far corners of the bay are Boostec as well. Picked them up off EBay.9577A039-E389-4124-B7C9-CFF412786E26.jpeg

Carbon fiber is extremely corrosive to aluminum. It's very common in aviation to have a thin glass layer on top of carbon fiber skins.

If that cover does have a glass layer on the underside I'd be happy if I were you.

Valet parking company denied the claim…last time I will let valet move anywhere other than leave it up front…

Installed an Injen intake this morning.

My buddy made a video of the installation. If any 2.0L owners here are interested in the Injen short ram CAI and want a good look at the installation process, check it out. It's not a ChrisFix style how-to, but we cover the process pretty well and mention a couple of gotchas with the provided documentation.

Not sure what happened but if the car was damaged might be worth it to sic the insurance company on their asses.
