• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Kia Stinger - Australia discussions (pre-release)

Has anyone had any luck with how we will update our maps on our sat navs? I know in this thread that others have also had issues with non existent roads etc. Not sure if worth of its own discussion thread yet... just curious to know.

I get the same problems on my i30 SR. Get used to it.

This is actually a great idea for a discussion and I'm going to set one up right now. This "Australia" discussions thread is tremendous and I don't want people to have any difficulty finding exactly what they need. Search usually works but the less searching you need to do - the better...

Recently here in Melbourne and surrounding suburbs, we experienced a hail storm, where i live it was only small hail, but some suburbs experienced much larger hail, more like the size of golf balls, the moral of this story led me to find a 2017 Kia Stinger GT, in Ceramic Grey which is currently for sale with HAIL DAMAGE, asking price is $62,888 AUD Driveaway.

I would not buy it, who would ???
Can hail damage dents be fixed easily and cheaply, even by panel beaters ???
Interested to hear other opinions on this topic.

How do they justify that price? According to the calculator it is barely below full RRP.

A hail damaged car is not insurable for further hail damage either until it is fixed 100%.

I don't get those staggering on road costs either. Four times higher than NZ and no surcharge for Pearl.

Don’t forget on road costs vary from state to state so there can be $1000 difference.

I am curious to know, especially from the Australian owners who have already taken delivery of their Stingers, did the dealership give you a full tank of petrol , or just a quarter full ? Also, did anyone actually ask for a full tank , if so, did the dealer give it to you ?
I am sure that after buying any car, especially when buying a Stinger at this price, a full tank of petrol should be part of the Dealership experience, but we all know they save wherever they can. I will ask for a full tank, but if they will not, at least i asked, and it's not the end of the world.
Please share your experience or opinion from wherever you live, interested to hear.

Don’t sweat the little things bud. I got a full tank too without asking here in Auckland.

Full tank premium
All on road costs and stamp duty
Dealer delivery and 12 months rego
Dash mat and floor mats included.
Caveat that if I don’t get car in 3 months I can opt out of contract no charges.
$65000 driveway in Western Australia
You got to be prepared to play dealers off on price and walk way if they don’t give you what you want regardless of demand.

Good to hear, not sweating at all, its not about the money, just wanted to know especially from Aussie Stinger owners, if all dealers automatically give you a full tank , or not, past purchases i made here in Australia and many stories i have heard over the years from others, dealers in the past and maybe still, only give you quarter tank, just wanted to compare which Aussie dealers offer a full tank, or not.

You got to ask or you don’t get. Just tell them you want a full tank and say nothing , they will give it to you it’s only $70 and you have just spent a bucket of cash for the car. If they don’t, ask for the mats as they can write them off on another car.

Thanx for the advice, already asked for the floor mats included, but only realised yesterday that there also is a Stinger Dash Mat...haha

Also for it as well!
I have bought 5 cars from dealership so they don’t argue.
