Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

Terry, I just watched a 2step and a anti lag boost brake video with the jb4 on the n54. Is that something you will be doing on our platform?

Is there a v9 firmware in preparation? :)

Some day. :)

Terry, any progress with EWG control to eliminate boost oscillations?

Or would going back to stock intakes help more than changing FUD Bit settings?

The FUD setting is only effective for partial throttle oscillation.

Stock intakes would reduce power/boost potential, so would certainly have an effect. As would running a lower boost target in the engine speed range effected.

No luck on EWG control yet. IAT control might be useful though.

I recently tagged you in a Facebook post, but figured this would be a good place to ask, and be seen by others who aren't in the group.

According to your guidelines...
Map 1 = 91
Map 2 = 93
Map 3 = race fuel, e30, octane booster
Map 5 = race fuel, e30
Map 7 = race fuel

With that said, us 91 folk are technically stuck with Map 1; however, with the use of e30, we would now sit at 93, allowing us to use Map 2.

In terms of Boostane, allowing us to reach up to 116, is there a guideline to octane targets for Map 3, 5, and 7 (assuming we should stick to 91 on Map 1, and 93 on Map 2)?

I see you posted the guide, but isn't the guideline I posted correct?

So what is your opinion on running 91 + e85 in order to hit 93, then running Map 2?

Also, you missed my last question about octane targets for Map 3, 5, and 7...

Map 3 requirement says "Suggested for high quality fuel including unleaded race gas, ethanol mixtures up to 30%, or high quality octane booster like Torco or Boostane."

A good quality 93 octane should work with Map 3. Quite a few people run 93 & map 3 without issue.

Maps 5 and up are the ones that would require higher than 93 octane.

I'm struggling to find the significance of your bold/italicized "including" ... aren't we saying the same thing?

Map 3 = race fuel, e30, octane booster

My interpretation is "Suggested for high quality fuel [with the use of] unleaded race gas, ethanol mixtures up to 30%, or high quality octane booster like Torco or Boostane."

If you run 91 and 30% E85 you should be able to run map 2 and 3 no problem. Always do some logs just to be sure though.

No, by writing "including" he's saying map 3 usage isn't exclusive to race fuel, e30, and octane booster.

He's saying it will work with high quality fuels INCLUDING those you mentioned, not EXCLUSIVELY those you've mentioned.

He's posted before that map 3 and 93 should work fine but users still need to log it to make sure.

Ive been running map 3 with 93 and 4 gals of e85 on a fillup with no problemo....logs look good, but in the winter with cold streets I cant get traction even after the 1st to 2nd shift....so I just backed it back down to map2 for the time being...still traction is a bit of a problem with cold pavement:) Wash

I was amazed at how much better my car hooked with a 75* day and 4lbs in 1st and 2 and 2nd gear.

One my buddy’s tire shop has another friends 640hp vette in, due to the launch we are pretty sure the Stinger would get him in the 1/4.

I will tell you a Maserati (no clue what year) wants no part of a stinger GT with a JB4 Map 2, Exhaust, and intakes.

Truth. I walked a Ghibli S (the more powerful version) while in Mexico with this very combo, except I was only on map 1 at the time. Certainly wasn't expecting that and was even more proud after learning they're actually not much if any heavier than us and come with 424 hp.

We also make a JB4 for the Ghibli though... ;)
