• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Kia Stinger - Australia discussions (pre-release)

tyresales.com has 20 tyres for the stinger 255/35/19 price $291 continental contact 5p
Sticks - our tyres are not 5P, just 5. Which I have been told are different tyres. I also saw that on tyresales and got excited for a second. Just this afternoon I put two g6e turbo wheels on the rear until the new tyre comes in. Mate had some spares which fit perfectly, was concerned about the brembos but no hitting!

I'm 70 years old so this statement concerns me. Can you elaborate? :eek:o_O

well if you correct the spelling mistake ( smell , not small ) it might help you ///////////////////

Damnit, I typo'd. Yeah, nobody wants to smell the ass of death. :p But considering how the 2.0T appears to be completely eating the V6 alive, I think we're on a short time schedule to enjoy both the V6 and/or V8 in cars...

Quite on the contrary here in oz, the 3.3 sales far outweigh the 2.0. When i ordered my 3.3 gt the dealer said of the first 220 orders taken to July, 219 were v6. I find the ratio hard to believe personally.

Actually, we haven't even had our first Stinger sold here in America yet. I was referring to the 2.0T motor, in general, replacing the V6 in midsize sedans. It looks like we're only going to have turbo 4's and turbo 6's here in the U.S. Outside of trucks and SUVs, anyway. For the most part. V8s are very rare in cars here and turbo 6s will be the rare engine that replaces them.

Wow i thought the v8 market was thriving in the U.S. I guess if you can't sell V8s there then it really is the death of it. As we all no the U.S. has the cheaper fuel by some distance. Interesting.

Don't get me wrong, we will have V8s in Camaros and Mustangs but they're becoming extremely scarce elsewhere other than trucks and SUV's. We used to have V6s in all the midsize family sedans, which sold a LOT more than sporty cars, but they're all going with turbo fours now.

The writing is on the wall then. 2 of my 3 cars are turbos: Wrx and a Ford fiesta 3 cyl 1 litre turbo eco boost which is really quick of the mark and fuel economy outstanding. 18 days 'til the Stinger arrives, im making it sound like Xmas......hang on it is. Wife says im a big kid...need my toys lol.

Thanks, just wanted to know how long it took. I ordered a SW Pearl with RNL mid-october and I haven't got a delivery date yet. Guess I just have to sit tight. Sounds like you had to go through some crap to get yours. Was it a dealer specific thing or a Kia thing?

It was both; what i was told that because Dcb with rnl is not a popular option in Aust that the order would take longer. They know i won't wait so i bowed to bnl when offered as a quicker option. White or Red in either leather you shouldn't have an issue.

The wheel cap only gives u less than 3mm high, 11mm wide to insert your tool, sadly I can’t find any right size tool at the moment, a flat head screwdriver is not good enough.
I used a flathead screwdriver & they just popped off without any trouble....the new E caps went on easy as well. Took me less than 5 minutes to do the 4 tyres.

I tried again today with flathead screwdriver, still not success to pop out the wheel cap, too scared to get wheel damege.

Once you find the part of the cap that has the lip in it, just get a long flathead screwdriver and rest it along the groove of the wheel rim with a little bit of the screwdriver under the cap. You don’t need to use that much force for the cap to pop off. You won’t damage the rim. If you are worried about the rim, just put a piece of cloth underneath the screwdriver.

Agreed - when I got my flat last week, I was also scared, but use the flat head screw driver with a towel or something and it's no problem at all.

agreed, my DCB RNL arriving this week after a 4 month wait while Red or White orders have been reported as delivering much quicker being the popular choices getting production priority

Looks awesome mate !
