• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

YVR Stingers

Has anyone gone in to one of the dealerships to complain about the idle stop & go system?

It's either the most finicky thing to get it working, or too many conditions needs to be met for it to actually start up... Unless no one else has issues with it?
I thought the same thing the first month. Ive gotten used to the logic. Won’t do it cold nor after a long highway burn. But once I do a few start/stoping it usually kicks in city driving.
Not the same as most cars with this system I’ve driven but I let it do it’s thing. ‍♂️

Yes. Roof racks
I go skiing a lot in the winter so it was a must have. In the summer I usually keep the racks on for kayaking/canoeing.
which ones did you go with , tighter pic ??

Hmmm, interesting, im all city driving and can rarely kick it in. Usually works starting the car for the next trip of the day...

Weird. When I got mine in early January Thule didn't have anything on the market yet. I tried them first.
Went to Rack Stop in North Van and they installed all-in for like $600 I think.

Beauty is the sunroof still opens 100%
Only issue is the sound of the wind is annoying on the highway....so I may take them off for the summer.

Really? I thought there would be issues with the sunroof and the roof rack. Does it just barely slide under it?

Just had my second service at Kia Richmond. This service was surprisingly good this time around. I had an early morning appointment so I was first in. I mentioned that Kia Vancouver's services were about $30 cheaper, so the service associate ended up giving me free lifetime oil changes after I said that the services were quite expensive. As long as I follow the service intervals, Kia Richmond won't charge me for the oil change, just the other items that are involved in the service. My second service ended up costing me $145. When my third service comes around, I'll be on the hook for about $40. As for the rotation, make sure not to have that include in the service price, as the tires can't be rotated.

So I was at the dealership this morning. Dropped off my car for the second service. $290 + tax now!

What are your KM at?
I’m going to be dropping mine off for her first service in a couple weeks to North Shore Kia. They also offered me free oil changes if I stick to their service plan.
My car has 9100km on her and they said that since I do so much daily highway km (roughly 75 all highway) that I can stretch it to 10,000km service or 6 months.
I want to get the Injen intake so I’ll be asking their thoughts on if it will void part of the warranty. Not sure how ‘sticky’ they are with drop in stuff like that.

Slightly over 10,000km, and since it was entering "summer", might as well have it done now. Going to KIA Richmond for the service today...

Service 2 - Which is what is recommended doesn't (to me) add $180 worth of extra service or parts...

Right on welcome to the forum, we need more activity from local guys. Close to pulling the trigger on the JB4 as well. WestcoastGT and I went to the States a couple weeks ago and met up with 13 other Stinger owners andd their Stingers. We are doing another meet in September somewhere between Bellingham and Seattle and it sure would be great to get some more Canucks to come down with us. Hopefully that's up your ally. Cheers

But i could do a local meet if ever one came about. I actually saw a white one today in poco

So what ya say @westcoastGT, doesn't look like there's not a lot of enthusiasm with the YVR crowd:sleep: Do you even think it's worth the effort for us to try and rally the troups up for a get together?:geek:
