What did you pay for your Kia Stinger?

Any word yet on what the MSRP of the Atlantica is going to be?

GT2 RWD. Paid $47,200 plus about 700 in crap fees and TAVT of 7%, so roughly 51,350. Sticker was $50,100. Put in $1,500 cash and a $2,350 trade-in and got away with a payment that doesn't (quite) kill me.

I think it's a decent deal, and I regret the payments less every time I fire it up. Since it's the first time I've ever spent nearly this amount on a car, it still a little surreal.
The 7% tax is the hard part to shallow. I have the same here in Florida at 6%, but was spoiled where I came from in SC.... they have just a flat $400 tax when buying a car.
Also the $700 dealer feels are a joke and rip off. But your purchase price of $47k isn’t too bad.
Congrats and enjoy your ride!!

Could somebody help I went to 2 dealers today to see the GT2 ceramic silver with red interior. They don’t want to go lower then $680 a month for 12k 36 months 2k down. I wanted to pay max 580 is that realistic?? I’m in the NY/NJ area.

@Kosh how did you get that deal

Being offered the following on a 2.0T Premium AWD w/Drivewise:

42,255 MSRP
-2,500 Discount
-6,800 Lease Incentive
+356 Dealer Fees
33,311 Balance (On the worksheet their math is wrong at the end, it says 33,961. I have pointed this out, however they are closed now.)

I've requested and am waiting to hear back tomorrow, if they can increase the discount from 2,500 to 3,150. Their website lists the car with a discount of 3,150. This would bring the balance down to 32,661. I would be far more comfortable with this, than their bad math 33,961!

I did tell them I intend to buyout the lease right away, they said that is fine and there would be no penalty for such.

Thoughts??

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
For all You Canadians:
KIA OF BROCKVILLE,ONTARIO.
Aurora Black Limited with red nappa leather
$2500 dealer discount off MSRP.
$399 admin fee cancelled.
Due to arrive Friday May 11th.
My wife and I have owned a fair number of cars in the past, some higher end sports cars (Corvette C6 Z06, Camaro SS, Nissan GT-R, M-B AMG SL63), several of which we tracked regularly.
Dealership had a GT Stinger on the lot, sales manager put a plate on it, threw us the keys, and told me to spend the day with it. He specifically told me to drive it "hard, 'cause I want you're honest opinion as to how it compares to your other cars". Had it for a full half day.
OPINION---not quite as hard edged and performance oriented as some of our other cars, but a REALLY great job on Kia's first "kick at the can" on a performance car. Good compromise on a performance car that's also supposed to be a "Grand Tourer"! Interior fit and finish is 95% of the AMG C43!! My wife was blown away!! Having owned a Hyundai EXEL, decades ago, she couldn't believe how far Korean cars have come!!
Came back from the test drive, and 90 minutes later, papers for the Stinger signed!!
Absolutely awesome dealer experience!! As good as any in the past!!
HIGHLY recommended dealer!!!

Congratulation 'Jonathan Lasich'! I hope it's all ready for you to pickup for next weekend!

I test drove the 3.3 V6 as well, and loved it. I know KIA did it right in Canada and only sent the V6! I would have been happy with just the base model with the V6, but with the added fuel cost, insurance, etc....Anyway I'm hoping to get a deal done this month on the 2.0. Very much looking forward to getting one, it would be a BIG upgrade from the 2005 Subaru Outback I have!:)

I am sure your new ride will bring many Smiles for you and your wife! Enjoy!

Shawn

Does the $680 include a monthly NY lease tax, and if yes, what is it?

IMHO, do not buy a car based upon monthly cost. Buying a car is three deals: purchase price for the car; financing deal (terms); and trade-in, if applicable. When you mix all three in together, you are at the mercy of the dealership (generally not a good place to be).

Yes it does include tax it’s a 8.8%

If your are considering buying shortly after leasing to take advantage of the Kia money, review NYLAWBIZ's post.
If you are only considering leasing, the best quote I got to lease a GT2 AWD with safety package for 36mo and 12k/yr was:
Zero money out of pocket (everything rolled into lease including 1st month's lease payment)
$659/mo including 9% PA monthly lease payment for 35 months
(every $1000 paid at lease signing equates to about $30/mo, so if I paid $2000 at lease signing as per your consideration, subtract $60/mo)

Thanks that’s not bad I finally got somebody giving me a GT1 with safety package for $525 x 36 12K 2k down and I change my lease every 3 years never keep them.

FYI - I was on the phone last week with KIA Consumer Affairs. The Atlantica, according to them, has been postponed indefinitely. They are unclear at this time if the car has been cancelled, just postponed or if it will be combined with another limited edition. According to Consumer Affairs, all digital information on the Atlantica has been removed.

Plus (included at no charge)
All Season Floor mats

Less
May 36 month lease incentive of $6,500 (this is down from $7,000 in April)

Looks like a real good lease especially considering you were able to get out of the optima lease.
Enjoy the new ride!

Seems like potentially legitimate scoop. All of the search results are now returning "page not found" errors.

I wonder if KMA Marketing will go back to all of the auto mags/blogs and explain why the US still can't have the special features that aren't special anywhere else in the world.

That is a pity. I really loved that deep blue paint - if they'd had that shade available here instead of the lighter Atomic blue, I'd have give it some serious consideration as a possible alternative to white. Even though white is the fastest colour ...

My guess is that although the Stinger is selling, it is not blowing out the numbers. To me, this is a "sell what's on the truck in inventory" strategy. Personally, I wanted to wait on the Atlantica, but now that it is gone (for now) I reverted back to the red car. Imagine that logic about 300 times over. They probably just got ahead of their headlights.....and, teased the market with a "what if" thought in the process.
