What did you pay for your Kia Stinger?

Thanks for the replies! A few questions though. Some cars have 5k rebates on them, is it separate from the KIA cash incentives as well? Do you guys think I can combine that with the lease specials?
I don’t believe you can combine. The 5000 is (at least when I bought) 1500 trade assistance plus the 3500 cash back on purchase. There may be a trade offer on a lease but the 3500 def not on the lease as you are already getting the lease rebates.

The 5k rebate is money that Kia pays you to buy the car and is applied towards the final price. Anything called an incentive or "REBATE" is from the manufacturer, not the dealer. Its money the dealer will still get for the car when sold. That 5k deal Is not applicable to lease offers, however. They have different incentives for leasing. Check the kia.com site. In my area, that 5k is made up of 1500 for a competitive trade in and 3500 for well qualified buyers.

Tip: don't let a dealer tell you they are coming down in price with those rebate offers. If a car is 49k MSRP and they sell you the car for 44k after 5k kia rebate, they just sold you the car at FULL MSRP and not a dollar less!

From what I've seen, those are incentives to finance through Kia and purchase the car, not lease. The best you theoretically can do is:

1) dealer discounts off MSRP.
2) Lease incentives (mine was $10,300 for a 24 mo/20k mile lease).
3) Negotiate any other discounts off dealer fees.
4) Get any other stackable incentives (military, trade, etc.).

Might be missing something small but this is the gist of getting the best deal.

Whatever deal you guys get I paid 46,000 out of the dealer after taxes, titles, etc etc etc after every single fee for my GT2, I find it still is a bargain, can't understand people saying I got my GT2 and paid $40,000 USD and I didn't get a good deal... Im like hello? You get a car with Korean design and German engineering DNA, moster engine, huge hauling capacity and all the toys inside for 40,000 USD not a bargain? They will charge 40 to 50K for a freacking mommy grocery middle aged woman dream car Camry nowadays!

Thank you! Unfortunately for me, I have poor credit and I doubt I would be able to lease it especially at 24mo.
So for now, I think I will be financing. Do you think I should trade in my '18 civic? Or just sell it off carmax for 1k positive?

This is straight out of my lease contract. I simply mentioned it as it was mentioned in this forum and the dealer put it and $750 trade assist cash on as well. Sorry, it was $10,250. I'll go off myself for this grave error.

I'm no finance expert, but however you can get the most cash is your best bet. I was going to do a private sale but ended up slightly better with trade in because of the $750 trade assist, no sales tax from private party sale, and they came way up on my trade as I used a quote from a different dealer. All said, I got $26k for my trade (had a remaining loan, hence the $12.2k I got +$750 trade assist) and best private I could have hoped for was $27k. Takes sales tax that I'd have owed (5.5%) and trading made more sense. Not to mention avoiding the headache of private sale.

If you're in no rush for the Stinger, contact a lot of dealers, get trade amounts in writing (many won't, some will), and use that as the final 3 dealers I was talking with were all willing to match the trade quoted from my local Kia dealer.

Oh my bad, I meant to ask Lonz about how he was working that new stinger every 6 months trick. Not sure how I managed to reply to you about that! Sry

No worries at all, ha! I was a little confused about the hostility.

I found a 2019 GT2 w/ around 6k miles on it. They're offering around 40k for it.
Also have a new GT1 for 38k starting (~5k dealer discount + 3k finance incentive).
How low do you guys think I should shoot for both?

Sorry for all the questions. Trying to get the best deals out here.

Those 6k miles are probably fast and hard. Thats a used car and its overpriced. The GT1 is priced reasonably though. I think the GT2 should be much lower or just skip it altogether just cause you don't know what those 6k miles were like. Could be drag strip miles for all you know.

I paid 38k OTD for my 2020 GT1 RWD at the end of June. That is with the dealer "moving" 1500 to cover giving me my trade value I needed. Effectively I would have been at 36500-ish without the trade being involved. I probably could have haggled that away but all things being considered I am pleased.

2020 Stinger GT, red leather. $33,650 plus tax. Got the 5,000 cash incentive, 1,500 trade allowance and some off the top. Sound like a decent deal?

I just bought my 2020 GT2 last month, I did the lease to buy to get the extra incentive. MSRP 54k and got it down to 38k then it was 42k out the door because Kia charged an additional destination fee on top of the taxes and tag. Got my buyout amount from Kia Financial a week and a half later then paid off the car. A271AEAD-69FE-41C1-AE8B-8281CFD16CD6.webp

Looks like a good price. Is that with AWD?

I got my 2020 GT Limited with All Weather Mats, Cargo Tray, Tinted windows, 3M Protection Film, Winter and Summer Tires with Original and Braelin Black rims (Respectively) and a Snow white paint corrector pen (haha seemed petty but I still asked to add it on the deal) for 55 Canadian (Tax included) which is about 41.5K USD.

It was a Demo with 3.5K Miles on it though which is why it was such a deal.

That's very true. What worked the best for me was dealing with someone who said was willing to give me Invoice+3% pricing, I read somewhere that even at Invoice Price they make money. And Sadly for the Stinger but fortunately for buyers, Stinger sales have been weak in 2019 and 2020 so find a dealer near you that has a lot of Stingers in stock, they will be more willing to cut you a nice deal.

@trystansantos I find the best advice I found online was, Figure out the price you want (Even if it sounds very low) and call dealers and say: Hello, I am in the market for a Stinger in X colour, and I see you have "X number" of them. The price I'd like to pay is $XXK, Can you achieve that price?
