Yeah but to a typical Valet, no Kia is ( or will ever be ) a "higher end" car, so care factor = zero.Nah. That’s not the point. ‘More like you’d think to trust them when they’re parking higher end cars all day and night
Hand em the keys to a DB9, F488 etc and it's a different story.
Don't mean to sound condescending, but, in most cases you're handing over your keys to someone who's either doing Valet as a part time job or a low paid full time job. Care factor = low to zero.
I went to a resort many years ago when I had my highly modified R32 Skyline and they insisted of Valet parking it.
I politely declined and said I will park it where and how you require and with your supervision. They accepted and I thanked them for their understanding and all went well.
Didn't hurt that they seemed intimidated by the thought of trying to park a car with an aggressive engine idle and the twin plate clutch

Now, handing my keys over to a service department, that is anxiety inducing !
I make a point of getting the persons name and doing a walk around pointing out any existing damage. As a mechanic I HATE handing my car ( even my wife's car ) over to anyone I don't know and trust.
