What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Had the recall and an oil change done. Come home to find my driver side skirt is dented just like my passenger one was a few years ago at a different dealership (why I stopped going there)…Is it really that hard to lift a car without damaging the body.

Going to call Monday and see what their response is. (Last time the other dealer denied doing it)
Anytime you take it anywhere for anything do a walk around with them so you and them can CYA! I've been there and done that many times and they will always deny they did it, take pictures also before you take it in, anyway it sucks dude! Good luck!

They obviously couldn't find the pinch welds that are there to jack up the car, and both sides! I'd be FUMING! As I know every inch of my car and if there was any damage I'd know about it. I'm the only one that details my car and when I did Subframe chassis collars and swaybar, I was at my brother's shop helping him do it after hours and he and I know how and where to position the lift so as to do ZERO DAMAGE! Can you tell I'm fired up for you? Your damage looks to be on the exact same spots on both sides if I'm looking at it right, UHGGGG!!

I was right there before they lifted it because they were going over the recall with me and then I left to wait in the lobby. When it was done I checked the trunk to make sure everything was how they found it and checked the dipstick because I’ve had a dealer overfill the oil before. Didn’t even think about the side skirts because they’ve changed my oil 4 times with out any issues in the past.

The passenger side was dented 2 years ago at a different dealer..today the driver side was the one the got dented.

I have the bms pinch weld pad for when I do stuff at home and am always careful lining it up so when stuff like this happens it pisses me off too.

I feel your pain brother, when you take it in for something positve and simple, some dipshit that doesn't know what he or they are doing it ends up costing us not only money but grief, those rockers aren't going to be cheap to replace and or repair. I guess if they deny it turn it in on your comprehensive policy and get it fixed for your deductible. If they deny it you have to prove they did it, unfortunately.

I bought my stinger at this dealer and they know me, my sales guy is the man so I have hope they’ll try to remedy the situation. If not I’m going to try a local Dent Repair place that fixed up my mustang last summer. I’ll post an update when/if it gets fixed.

That’s some bs! Hope you get it fixed.

Good luck man!

Scoop installed. I don’t know if anyone has bothered cutting the shroud instead of just removing it. The how to I found said to just ditch it. I think that’s a really bad idea long term, and I’m keeping my car as long as I can afford whatever unobtainium based fuel we end up having to buy in the future.

So I cut it. I tested it cutting little bits at a time. The whole tapered section right of the mounting points has to come off.

Anyway, now I have a true CAI.

I did the same thing, I left my shroud on, and cut around the scoops. I posted a few pics a little bit ago, on this thread I believe. I heated up a utility knife and it cut through the plastic like butter. Pretty easy, but can me messy if you don't take your time.

It does give an aggressive look.

Finally tried an oil change using the dipstick evacuation thingy (mityvac).
Pretty slick/clean.
Yes it sucks to still have to jack up the front to replace the oil filter. But that’s not terribly difficult. the cutout access hole is more than enough.

Does it have a tube that goes down the dipstick tube? If not, aren’t you leaving a lot of dirty oil in it?

Yes. You stick the tube down the dipstick drain tube. That’s kind of the point.
this method is how i change the oil on our e39's... it's great on those and i have measured and i definitely get about 3/4 quart More oil out using the extractor than draining from the plug. It's lovely on the bimmers though since the cartridge style oil filter sits on top so no need to get under at all.

Does it cover the factory rubber strip in the middle of bumper, or is it underneath it?
It goes underneath but sort of blends into one.

I really wish they'd refrained from riveting this little badge on the spoiler though.......
A nice little M&S badge, fine, but a barcode ?!?!

After months of waiting, my wheels and tires were finally delivered yesterday!

Avant Garde M520R Dark Graphite Metallic: 19 x 8.5/ ET +35 up front – 19 x 9.5/ ET +40 in rear
CONTINENTAL EXTREME CONTACT SPORT: 235/40R19 up front – 265/35R19 in rear

I'm really liking the look and can't wait to go on some curvy roads with the new, stickier tires. This new setup gives a weight savings of a little over 7 lbs up front and 9 lbs exactly in the rear.AG-Wheels.webpStinger-Wheels1.webpStinger-Wheels2.webpStinger-Wheels3.webpStinger-Wheels4.webpStinger-Wheels5.webpAG-Wheels-Stance.webp

Nice. Where did you get them from?
